skylurker beat me to it - this is Dr Zhivago with performance fabrics. Gorgeous.

speechless!
love that skirt, its fab on its own....but paired with that white puffer....WOW

Ginger, I'm so impressed, your style is kind of apart from trends but not eccentric, and you chose your clothes so well they look as though they were made for you. You look lovely.

These are both incredible on you. The white puffer is simply perfect on you. My goodness, if I did not live in such a warm climate, I would be buying one too. I just love how it is warm, practical and dressy all at the same time. The white colour is spectacular, well worth putting up with being a bit more careful and additional dry cleaning to look this good!

My word! I go away for the weekend and look what happens. You all are so very kind.

Diana, it did seem like the sizing was a little small. I'm usually a 4 in skirts of this type but the 6 was perfect. Have you worn the ruffle skirt yet?

Suz, I was so sure you had a white puffer already! You really need one - it will be spectacular with your hair.

Thank you, Shevia!

Joy and RobinF, I feel like a snow princess!

Staysfit, it's not actually a heavy skirt; the batting is very thin. But it does have a lot more body than a regular cotton skirt would, and I love the texture the quilting gives. It will layer very well over fleece-lined tights, too, when it gets colder.

La Belle Demimondaine, quilted skirts for all!

Yay Angie! I was hoping you'd approve!

delurked, I know what you mean. Skirt is subtle, puffer is not.

Sisi, I was wondering if "glorious" was a little silly, but it really wanted to be written. I like this puffer more every time I wear it.

karen13, I wear a lot of full skirts and this is a very light one, easy to wear.

Style Fan, I love this color green and it is so hard to find. This is a Sonoma tee (Kohl's brand) from at least 10 years ago.

Dr Zhivago! skylurker, now I can't un-see it. Love it!

LOL, Jenni!

approprio, you nailed it. Performance fabrics, indeed. I feel much more practical.

Aww, kkards! You're so kind. I never even intended to wear the two together, because usually puffers look so terrible over full skirts. But there's nothing this puffer can't do.

Wow, Isabel. That is such high praise. I really do have my own style, but I don't seek eccentricity. It's so very reassuring to hear this. And I am very picky about fit. I'm thrilled that you can tell.

Bijou, confession that my summer is very long and very hot, and most cold-weather people would scoff at my winter! But it does get cold and nasty, and my internal thermostat gets cold at a higher level than many. So that's how I justified the purchase. And then it was so spectacularly awesome that all doubts were swept away! I'm enabling here, but if you think you would ever have a need (say winter time travel), maybe it's worth stalking on sale? This particular model has been around for several years, as the Macy's reviews show. Pretty good record.
