You read that right - flight of bacon, followed by deep fried bacon with maple syrup. Oh and a bacon bloody mary. YUM. http://www.datztampa.com/yes-w.....-own-dish/
Thought we'd be following that with bowling but it was closed Mondays For that reason I didn't wear a skirt or dress, or bracelet or dangly necklace. Still mid 80's so that left shorts as final option for me. (Again many Floridians were in pants even out on the patio in the weather)

Oh fun! You did the studding on the tee? I love it I think this is such a great Florida In The Fall outfit; fall colors, but still warmer weather weight. It's got the right feel to me for sure. Also love how the black and silver are picked back up again in your sandals. (Bacon mary sounds delish!)

Thanks! I know it's hard to see black but yes, I ironed on these studs following along the raised seams of the tee. Got a bag of like 200 for 2 bucks off eBay. They're backed with a glue and when the iron heats them up, they stick. Cool, huh?

I remember this shirt but did 't realize you did the studding! I really like it. Bacon, mmmmm.

I've never seen iron-on studs, that sounds a jillion times easier than the little folding ones I used to use. I'll have to keep an eye out for those next time I get the itch to stud something

EDIT: Oooh I like it even more after seeing the detail photo!

Wow, the studding looks great! I like the drapey tee and shorts combo and, like Aida said, the shirt and sandals go so well together.

Between this and the photobombing pic, your BF seems like so much fun!

Oh goodness gracious! That reminds me of a restaurant in Pittsburgh called Houlihan's where you could get a BLT made with 1/2 pound of hickory smoked baccon. We would eat them with a Bloody Mary (with a pickle garnish, just to make sure we were getting enough sodium). Those were the days. Your figure looks like you eat these Baconados very seldom!

Anyway! I need to show your outfits to a friend of mine who recently decided she wants a Rocker Chic style (and in hot weather, no less). The way you have added a critical detail to your T and paid attention to footwear is really key. Comfortable and practical, but certainly not run-of-the (suburban) mill. Well done, and you look fab!

Love it, how clever you are, Mo! Speaking of bacon, did you see the bit about the sports team at Kansas State U that offered "free bacon" at their home opener? Kind of a joke but they ended up frying up 30 pounds of bacon (I think) and it drew the crowd they were hoping for! So bacon is a serious part of American culture! Hey I just thought of the old Wendy's commercial where the young lady has cooked-up bacon in her purse at the bar and attracts all the cute guys! Sorry for the rambling, now I'm craving some bacon...

Thanks you guys! And Claire, that's humbling - but pretty much what I'm aiming for these days, so very good to hear I'm on the right track.
We had a bit of heartburn later that night, so I'd suggest deep fried bacon as a very rare treat. Back on track today with some healthier fare!

Love this thread but love your handiwork the most. I am tempted to try something like this but probably on a smaller scale for a first project.

wow, that's a lot of bacon!! We forgot to get a bacon maple glazed donut to go for the BF. We couldn't think of food after we were done!
The iron on thingies are pretty easy. I'm not crafty, but managed fine. A little playing with placement first.
