I was inspired by today's ensemble to pull out my only toffee-colored item, this old handknit sweater. I don't wear it too often because it has a couple of fit issues (the neckline is too high for my short neck, and there's some excess fabric in the underarms and back). I knit it in 2009 before I had figured out what sweater silhouettes were most flattering on me and how to fix the common fit problems. Fit issues notwithstanding, I still like it and I think the toffee makes this ensemble. Paired with my brown tweed skirt (I ordinarily don't like medium or dark browns but don't mind it in patterns like plaid or tweed), an ink blue tee layered underneath, black tights, navy knee socks, cognac boots, and black bag. I"m not sure the ink/navy is coming through in these pics but I promise the tee and socks are actually blue and not black!
