I finally finished knitting my sweater! This pattern is called Edna Jean. I finished it Christmas Eve, just in time to wear it Christmas Day. But life has just been super busy and I’m only now posting here!

The fit is intentionally snug. I’ve gained a bit of weight while healing some health issues. It’s just for now. And the sweater still fits. But I’m curious and even anxious to feel a little less snug in it. Hopefully this fall or next winter.

The colors... I chose the colors myself. It took 13-14 tries just to get the center diamond dots and dotted band color, which is purple color. (No, I’m not kidding!) I enjoyed knitting this. That said, I felt very rushed as it was a test knit for a designer. I got this sucker done in 8 weeks and I don’t think I ever want to knit a fair isle sweater that quickly again lol!

The buttons are magenta/wine colored 1940s Czech glass buttons. They’re new stock that has never been used. The quality is just unbelievable. I bought 2 dozen so I can have extras for projects down the road. And because I love vintage buttons and textiles.

I’m hoping to sew a few things this spring and summer. But currently, I have plenty of knitting projects going, mostly gifts and commissioned items.
