Chewy, Nikki, Merwoman, Slim cat, and RobinF, thanks for the outerwear love! I have finally embraced having several coats, given that winter here lasts many months.
Rachylou and Sloper, thanks for the skirt love. There was that fun swoosh factor that Angie is always talking about!
Thank you, Bonnie, Carla, and Star, for the nice feedback. It has been fun to be back in-person for work, with a chance to dress up a bit.
Lana, yes, cropped pants and boots are a real mainstay for me--so comfy, and I don't have to fuss so much with inseams :). I'm glad you are feeling right at home here at YLF--your posts have been fab!
Angie, thank you so much for your detailed feedback and support! The vest combo in #6 was my fave too--it's so funny how I see things in the mirror vs. in a pic. That vest looks okay in the mirror, but it's very photogenic, lol. And both of the oversized coats don't even look that large in the pics, which is wild. You are always so gracious in your comments, and it's much appreciated!
Kellygirl, thank you! In my experience, many professors tend to go for comfort and practicality quite a bit, so it's a pretty low bar! But I appreciate the compliment :).
Jaime, thanks so much for your detailed feedback! I feel like our styles have some overlap and I admire your thrifting skills so much, so I appreciate your eye.
Bijou, thank you for the love for the big, bold coat in #3! I felt slightly conspicuous the first time I wore it, but then I settled in and now love to wear it. Boots are the best, aren't they? But I can see how they would be a bit much in your climate year round :).
