Your oversized coats work great on you - they look intentional, don't worry! I look more like '3 kids in a trench-coat' if I attempt that

And high five to a fellow, once-a-week curlyhead (though I sometimes have to up it to twice a week if it's summer &/ or I've been working out a lot, lol...) - your curls look so healthy
DH thought it was weird when I first told him how infrequently I wash my hair (his is typical Chinese hair - as straight as they come!). But then he saw the number of products needed to nourish curly hair, & now he understands why that shouldn't be a daily regimen, lol!

Sharan and lyn67, thanks for your lovely comments! Carole King is a new one for me, but she does have gorgeous curls so I will happily embrace the comparison :).

Zaeobi, yes, Team Shampooing Once a Week for the win! Curly hair can be very bossy and fussy, so it's important not to stress it out too much, lol!

I love them all. I especially like the first skirt ...it is really lovely. As someone said, you have great boots. I think I will need to get doc boots as my next investment after seeing these. Your outfits also show the versatility that a great boot can make and they look fabulous with the cropped pants. Great inspiration post for my southern hemisphere autumn/winter. Oh and yes I have hair envy!

Maybe we'll see you in a red pattern, Jonesy

And look! Andy MacDowell copied your hair at the Oscars pre-dinner last night. Of course, yours look even better.

Fabulous hair! I love your style. I am drooling over your olive coat. So gorgeous. The Docs are fantastic.

Thanks for sharing these outfits - they are awesome. And you have my dream hair....

I love 3 5 7!! Just stunning. And I agree with Helena that simple outfits can provide great pleasure when they are perfect.

You definitely suit the oversized and bold jacket and coat - but I also love the olive more classic fit on you. Inspirational as I head into the cooler season.

I thought this thread was dead, and got preoccupied with work at the beginning of this week.

Thank you so much, Sally, Style Fan, and Sal, for chiming in! I appreciate the nice hair feedback--I will remember it when my hair is misbehaving and being a pain :). Yes, Sally, I love cropped pants paired with boots, as a tall person, because it's just so much easier for me than trying to negotiate the proper pants length and footwear conundrum with full-length pants, which never seem to be quite the right length on me. Glad you feel inspired! Thanks for the positive comments about the olive coat, Style Fan and Sal--it's a little more subdued, but still holds its own, lol.

Angie, thanks for chiming in again--your positivity is a soothing balm in these trying times :)!

How did I not comment on this when I first saw it? In 1 you look like a bona fida rock star. Your coats collection is very cool—love the b/w pattern.

Jonesy, thank you, and right back at you!

Since you're YLF's Queen Clog, I have to share that I'm still on the hunt for narrow low heeled clogs that stay on my feet. I am determined! I've just ordered these and hope they work. Cute with my bag:

Thank you, Stagiaire Fash!

Angie, those are very beautiful clogs! The shape and color are lovely, and the brass rivets are awesome. They would form such a perfect complement with your bag! My fingers are crossed that they work out for you. I know the fit of clogs is everything--have you seen DonnaF mention that she sometimes uses inserts underneath the top part of the clog (I'm not describing it well, but it's where the clog hits the top of your foot) to fill the gap between the clog and her foot? This is such a great solution if you have low volume feet and the clog fits too roomily. You want the clogs to fit snugly on your foot, but not tight (or you will get rubbing, especially in warm, humid weather) and not too loose (or they won't stay on your feet and you will find yourself trying to scrunch your toes to keep them on, which is unpleasant and hard to do).

You might know all of this already, but I thought I would share my two cents :). Good luck!

Jonesy, I appreciate the explanation!I Thank you. I remember DonnaF talking about the inserts. Do you know what those inserts look like?

So late to this….but you have the best coat collection! And your boot collection is pretty darn good as well

Thanks, kkards!

Angie, I don't recall her ever mentioning exactly what they look like, but I googled shoe tongue pads and found these (plus an explanation). There seem to be a lot of options online, some are felted, some are suede, etc.

Jonesy, thank you! I will give it a bash
