I know... This is the never ending tale, but it is the most exciting fashion related event that I have had in a really long time (or ever, really). I will start a thread in Off Topic about the Nightline episode, and post links and give an explanation.

We are at the airport now, waiting to fly home, so I thought I would finish off the trip for you. What an incredible whirlwind of a weekend! I haven't caught my breath yet!

The irony is not lost on me that my most stylish outfit by far has been the one that I am wearing home. It was really hard to figure out what to wear on this trip for the filmed parts - the flight here and the interview and concert. I am overall pretty happy with what I picked, mainly because there were so many factors: filming, comfort, temperature, being myself, not knowing how dressy or casual others would be, not knowing about the ability to change between events, virtually no notice for planning and shopping, packing/wrinkle factor, etc. I will admit that in a perfect world, I would have made a few tweaks or different choices, but in the big picture, I feel good about it all. (Of course, ask me about it after the show airs tonight and I may have a different story...) Now that I have none of those concerns, I feel like I was finally able to relax and try the ONE outfit I have been dying to do - Angie's knit blazer/Casual pants combo.

They put us up in a gorgeous hotel last night (every detail was a feast for the eyes, including leather covered walls around the elevators), and it had direct access onto an amazing mall that featured a large ice skating rink in the middle. I've included some fun pics of the hotel and mall. We had a little time to shop and I found not one but TWO pairs of booties (I dearly wish I had these a couple of days ago!) and I am wearing one pair home. I will grant you, it is not the most practical airplane wear, but they are fairly comfortable and we don't have to do much walking on this trip. I have also shown our luggage (for a family of three for a two day/one night trip) - no checked luggage! Suz, thanks so much for the suggestion about brining a number of shoe choices. Had I not bought two pair of shoes, I would have worn them all (although I just heard that our flight has been delayed, so I may actually use my extra pair - nude ballet flats - while hanging out in the terminal.

The two WIW's are what I wore for breakfast and shopping (sweater and pointed toe ballet flats) and then what I wore to the airport - jacket and new shoes.

And Pic #10 - all I can say is that we are definitely in Texas!!

Final icing on the cake/nail in my coffin: cameras are no longer in my face, we are in the taxi on the way to the airport to fly home, and John reaches over and yanks a hair out of the end of my chin. Arghhhhhhhhhh!!!

ETA: For those of you wondering where all of the boyfriend jeans are in real life... They are in Texas.
