I loved Angie's post yesterday on how to wear floral patterns in a more subtle way. Although truth be told, I have NO problem wearing a floral pattern in an "in your face" way - lol!
I started today's outfit with my floral CM moto, which I think represents points #4 and #5 of Angie's post - it is a bit of an abstract floral and it is definitely more on the monochromatic side.
I popped the moto (scrunched sleeves for some structure) on top of a simple black tank, fully tucked into my Earhart Aviator trousers and added a black leather belt. These trousers are not traditionally flattering and therefore I suspect this outfit is just flattering enough (JFE).
To elongate the leg line a bit, I chose my new black sandal shoes with the pointy toes. A simple white clutch adds a pop of lightness and brings out the lighter tones of the jacket, as well as adding a bit more structure. For jewelry I went with a silver ring and my taupe/silver wrap watch - the leather strap matches the taupe tone in the moto perfectly. My purple/clear specs and a pop of bright pink lipstick finish off the outfit.
So…what do you think? Does this all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.
