WIW: First Ever Post - lots of photos

Hi folks - I start this post with trepidation. When I created my profile I described my style as Modern Classic, Sporty Natural, Bohemian Hippie (stab in the dark) and in Jayne's "Angela Homework" post I said I wanted to be perceived as youthful and vibrant. So as I post let me know if I get anywhere near my style descriptions.

So these are some WIWs from the week before Easter and over Easter Week-end.
Photo 1 & 2 - Casual Friday Mar 30 - slim straight jeans, batwing chiffon top, black sandals
Photo 3 - Work Wear 7 Apr - Grey wideleg pants (thrifted), cream knit top (outlet store), new David Lawrence snakeskin wedges(outlet store)
Photo 4 - Casual Thursday 5 Apr - jeans (same as 1), lavender collarless shirt (Sussan), my favourite silver sandals
Photo 5 - 7 Apr morning - Running errands and trying to get used to wearing skirts (very unusual for me) - black skirt (thrifted), black camisole, black short sleeve cardi (Sussan), black sandals

Yes all those styles are featured in these pictures. As I'm not attracted to Bohemian style, I prefer your pictures 3 and 5, which look more sporty natural and modern classic to me.

Yes I think I suffer from style confusion. I think my work wear is more modern classic and my casual wear wavers between bohemian and sporty natural - I guess. To be honest I really have no idea what my style is but I'm hoping this forum will help me develop something unique to me...... big ask.

I honestly like all these looks. I am drawn to 3 and 5 I thi because that's more my personal style preference but your more Bohemian looks are gorgeous too. Not over the top and really suit you. You have a very fab hairstyle

Lovely outfits and great hair, and I envy your pretty sandals! Personally I'm more drawn to the feel of #1 and #4, and can understand the bohemian interpretation of that, even as I tend to see it as global influences as well. I'm wondering if it's me, or there's a thread of romantic/feminine (prints, embroidery, ruffles) running through the whole set.

I think your hairstyle is more sporty/ modern classic and that's part of the reason those looks are more cohesive on you right now. Just a little thing to think about if you want to bring out more of the bohemian side.

I like #3 and #4 the best but they all look nice on you. The colour of the top in #4 is just wonderful on you and the whole silhouette of #3 is so flattering - simple and casual.
What about trying the skirt in #5 with a colourful top - something like the shape of the top in #3 but in a more vibrant colour? (Actually the white one might look good too). You've got some nice pieces here!

All these outfits look good. I like #3 the best. The white top is interesting with the ruffle down the front and the silver sandals give it some bling.

Great looks! You have a lot of polish in your style. I love the outfits in 1/2 and 4. Casual and chic! 3 and 5 are more classic and just as fab! I look forward to seeing more posts!

All your look are great! I personally love #3! #3, #4, #5 are my favorites. Possibly what is throwing me off with the bohemian top in #1 is the length. It seems a little long to be a shirt, but not long enough to be a tunic. But that might just be a personal preference, since I tend to like either shorter shirts or longer tunics. The print on it is gorgeous and I love how floaty it is. Whatever the case, I think you look fabulous! I hope you post more WIWs in the future. : )

Welcome! Personally I am kind of struggling with the same thing - and I have almost adopted a description of Sporty Boho lol. And I think it's okay to be more classic for work and have some looks that run more to the boho side.
What's important is that the fit is great, the proportions, the mixing and I see that in all of your looks!

Well ladies I posted this last night and am reading your comments just before I head off to work. I am appreciative of all your comments and suggestions and thank you all for welcoming me in such a lovely way to this forum. YLF rocks!!!

I think it's great to have a "breadth" to your style, rather than limiting yourself to one sort of thing, as long as the variety in your closet isn't causing you anxiety, but is a source of fun.

2 and 5 are my favorites!

Welcome! I think you nailed your style descriptions -- I can see different bits reflected in the different photos. As a fellow sometimes-boho dresser, I really like #2. Your youthfulness and vibrancy come through as well, through your smile and your sassy haircut!

I see mostly classic-boho here, and it's wonderfully executed! I don't think you're confused at all -- most of us like diversity in dress, and its natural to be more "classic" at work as a way of meeting the environmental norm of those around us. The floaty top in 1&2 is a beautiful print, and you've styled it simply, which is perfect. Love the lavender on you and the special touch of the white belt in the midi-skirt ensemble in #5 . Photographing and posting are great ways to grow even more confident in your choices!
