WIW: fingerless gloves! - YouLookFab Forum

I was inspired by today's blog post to wear an outfit with a pair of my handknit fingerless gloves. I mentioned in the blog comments that I love the look of sleeveless or cap sleeve tops in winter ensembles but it's so impractical. FIngerless gloves help a lot with the cold arms thing. Sorry the photos are horrid today - fiance stole my camera and I won't get it back until Thanksgiving, so I took these with the webcam on my laptop... as you can see, it takes close up photos ok but is terrible at the full body shots.

I want that dress. Is the pattern available online? Most sweater dresses are too sleek around the abdomen for me, but that one could work. (Probably dreaming in technicolour that I would actually make it, but still.)

JR, here is the link to the knitting pattern for the dress. It's originally from Interweave knits (I have the original magazine) but it looks like you can purchase it as an individual download as well. The pattern as written is extremely oversized, so I downsized it by knitting it in a much smaller yarn.

Not on Ravelry yet. Thinking about it though. Right now I just have a simple crochet project going, and that's the first thing I've done since my kids were tiny. Yikes.
