Ah, your words feel like warm sunshine streaming in! Thank you! ☺
Angie, your comments are so encouraging and I love that Ann Taylor dress, because it’s so comfortable. I’ll keep #1 in constant rotation, too, after hearing you liked it. It was the first time I'd put these pieces together! You made me smile on the “rear side” review; actually, I was attempting to show the solid back of the jacket. LOL. Tomboy. Fox. Foxy Tomboy. I’ll enjoy it all, separately or together.
UmmLila, thanks. I was going for the clean, classic look, and, YES, take a break from NH and come to CA. We would love to see you!
Suz, we’ll be known as the “Blues Sisters” and I’m happy to “play” with many blue notes whenever you are as I learn constantly from you. Now, about hair growth, ha! I felt like it was taking forever and I had Marley standing in the background to be my hair interventionist in case I decided to cut it.
Jackie, I love it that you made the happy connection of wearing blue to beat the blues. I plan on growing it to chin length; any longer and my fine hair may make the new look counterproductive.
Lar101, thank you, and I really appreciate your thoughts on the Burberry scarf. I saw it on one of Angie’s outfit posts when she traveled abroad, and with the softness of fabrication, I thought it would be a timeless purchase and it has been. Angie wore it with style and I wanted to emulate her! Best teacher of all!!
PalmFronds, so happy you love #1. It was the first time I put all of these pieces together and with such nice positive reinforcement, I’m sure to wear it again.
Crutcher, thanks, and you’re reading my mind for my Saturday visit! Will you please go with me? ☺ I don’t want to go any shorter and want a cleaned up, more precision cut that moves a bit. I was drawn to Rosamund Pike’s recent photos and plan to share a few of those with my stylist.
Missey, I really appreciate your comments and I love this navy sheath dress, too. My only concern is that it is a tad bit too short, even on petite me! I’ve even contemplated having my tailor add a navy tulle hem to it since I loved the length of Angie’s holiday dress. My only issue is that the hem is scalloped and I don’t want it to look like an add-on. So, right now, I’m enjoying it as it is. How lovely that you commented on my skin. I’ve always been concerned about that feature since I had acne as a young teen and now have the aging thing going as a woman of a certain age. Your comments make me very happy. Thank you.
alaskagirl, so glad you love these blues and my hair, too. You are very savvy, but I knew that, because ClearlyClaire is one of my mentors, whether she wants to be or not!
Ah, shevia, happy to bring you more pictures, which is my commitment in this new year. On my backgrounds, I’ve been experimenting with different places around the house, mostly outdoors, to set up my music stand and iPhone, and it seems being outside makes for better photos. We’re pretty lucky here to have mild weather throughout the year, so I’ll make use of it. May I also say that I adore your new thumbnail photo.
deb, my sweet Seattle roommate, thank you. I’m only growing it to chin length, because I want an easy-maintenance hairstyle.
abc, thank you for mutual “blue love” and it seems to work well for me since I wear a lot of casual denim bottoms, etc. and I have blue eyes.
Transcona Shannon, Wheeeee! I always love hearing from you and so happy you saw my post.
Debbie, thanks, my friend, and I’ll be a consistent contributor like you, along with posting a photo of my hair soon.
goldenpig, I enjoyed your comments and I truly believe when we find clothes that feel good and feel right on us, everything just comes together, inside and out.
CocoLion, I really appreciate that you loved the Christmas Eve dress, because I love it every time I wear it, and would even more so if it was a tad longer. It’s funny, because I shared with my sister that I wanted it longer and she looked at me like I was way off base. But, I still agree with myself! ☺ Yes, I’m a big J. Crew fan, too.
rachylou, thank you and I’m glad you like the longer hair, too.
Diane, I’m grateful for your observations, since you know garments and design so well. Each will be repeated often. Thank you for the nice compliment on my skin. I think the “lighting” can be a very helpful friend at times. Happy New Year!
Jjsloane, thanks and, yes, “fun” is part of my fashion accessory, for sure. I like that you mentioned polished, too, as that is an important style descriptor to me. Hmmm. “Polished Fun.” Is that possible? I think so! ☺
clearlyclaire, so glad you saw alaskagirl’s note, however, I think it’s because I’ve been “seeing” you and studying you so closely. Ha! Thank you for all your kind observations. You really got it right when you mentioned that you “find Winter dressing so much easier than Summer” and I heartily agree. Being on Team Giraffe, bridging the neck gap is essential. I’ll take your age estimation any day. As I said to Diane, it’s the subtle lighting; don’t get me in bright, harsh sunlight, please.
harmonica, that’s so nice of you and I’ll keep wearing blue.
LACeleste, thank you and I’m ecstatic that I inspired you, since you inspired me the first time I met you! Hope to see a photo.
