Hi,

In this thread 2 items that jumped out at me that didn't seem to get a lot of love were cold shoulders and ruffles. And I'll admit when I first saw the cold shoulder trend, I was waiting it out. I first noticed this style of top in the fall last year and why someone would want one going into the colder season I just couldn't grasp.

But, this style of top is EVERYWHERE I look in stores right now. So I went all out and picked one completely outside my usual style, not only does it have a cold shoulder but it also has ruffles. In my searching I realized that for my eye, the open part of the shoulder has to hit at just the right area for me to like the look. Many tops the cut out fell too long on my arm and really went past my shoulder.

In general I'm meh on the ruffles on this top (I won't buy a ruffle style again), but the cold shoulder part was fine. I wore this outfit for a date night with DH. Even if the top didn't become a 100% win, it's always fun to try something new, because you never know when it will become a new staple of your personal style.

Comments/suggestions are welcomed and thanks for looking!
