I knew when I saw Angie's ensemble post on Citron, Olive & Cognac, I would be wearing it as soon as possible. I'm finding it sooooo much fun when I have the elements in my closet to put together an Angie ensemble

I'm out to go to the bank, pick up cat food and meet my BFF for coffee so casual and comfy was the way to go. It's also quite warm here (well by Winnipeg standards anyway - it's only minus 2 Celcius) and a bit mushy with new snow so waterproof knee high boots are necessary.

I started with my dark olive cargo pants. These are definitely one of my best purchases of 2014 and I have worn them casually and at work. Completely versatile item and I have determined there will always be a pair of olive cargo pants in my wardrobe.

Added to the pants is my old Gap mesh sleeve sweater (a major YLF lemming item a few years back). I deliberately shrunk the sweater in the dryer as it had stretched to an unrecognizable shape. Much better now.

I've semi tucked the sweater to show the first cognac element - the Danier leather belt I had been wanting. When it went on a sale a few weeks back for only $19, I picked it up.

The second cognac element in the outfit are my knee high, warm and waterproof Hush Puppy boots. I have had these for years and they are still going strong. Another excellent purchase if I must say.

Now I'm kinda digging the equestrian vibe going on here with the combination of the cargo pants and knee high boots. But where's the citron element you ask? No problem…out comes the light weight citron puffer - perfect for this kind of weather, warm but not too heavy.

Hair was bugging me this morning so I just tucked it behind my ears, added my red specs and a swipe of neutral lip gloss and I'm ready to go.

Thanks Angie for keeping me on my style toes with your fab ensembles
