After I got the approval from the fabbers to wear boots in summer, obviously I had to give it a go asap! So here it is in action. I wore this to see the new resident crocs in our local aquarium with DH and the kids. It was a fun trip!
Inge had posted a few links in that post where she said that pairing dark boots with lighter bottoms was acceptable in summer. I decided to wear my DIY shorts and thought the skin would add enough structure and *lightness* to the entire outfit with a bonus of keeping me cool. I added my navy embellished neckline top (F&F) with a black cami underneath for modesty. I finished my outfit with my new black chelsea boots (Acne).
Well about the boots .... DH bought them recently from a private sales site at about 70% discount. He knows this girl likes her boots and likes it low heeled It was instant love at first sight for me! Pointy toes, patent leather, walkable heels and the best ... no flower pot effect! I don't even find boots like these when I go hunting for them. And he manages to buy them without even me trying it on? Now there's the reason why he's still my husband Bwahahahaha!
To lighten the outfit further, I added my white studded handbag (Steve Madden/old). So what do you think? Have I managed to lighten the outfit enough to make it look summery? Thank you for looking and commenting as always x
