Pulled out this summer skirt and styled it into an autumn skirt after seeing Angie's latest post about fall skirts!
This skirt was a wild card and I wore it a lot this summer, with my fluid fitting olive button-up shirt. The olive shirt was also a wild card and ended up being amazing!
I was really in the mood for a boho rocker outfit. I've been very much been missing my t-shirt dresses and "rocker boho" look I used to wear. (Dresses were worn during a challenging health time; I didn't want reminded of that season anymore, so got rid of them.)
I was super tired this morning, so I didn't look very cheery in my photos, oops. Skipped a lot of jewelry as we had co-op; didn't want to fuss with jewelry during art and science projects.
Was also not having a great hair day. My hair is slowly getting thicker again, but it still looks a little thin at this length. My haircut and color is in two days; I'm stuck between cutting a bit of length off, or leaving the length where it is. Going to ask for haircut, using photos 6-7 for inspo.
Thoughts:
- this outfit makes me realize I really need some loose, drapey knit tops or tees, preferably in v-neck. I miss throwing on a tee with jeans and jacket/cardigan. I like having some drape and fluid ease. (Thanks to Angie for encouraging me to try fluid ease!)
- despite wearing shape wear, had some lower tummy roll showing with this, which I didn't notice until getting home. I think the tee would be better larger and drapier, since the skirt is more body con.
- need another awesome jacket. My search this summer wasn't successful; struck out twice. Still looking for another moto inspired jacket.
- this skirt makes me want to try another tube skirt, see photos 1-2. Would likely sew it with a little more ease.
Give me all your thoughts, my Fab darlings!
