I never paid much attention to blue until a few years ago when my little boy started saying it was his favourite colour. Btw, I never insisted on dressing him in the typical boys' colours, in fact a lot of his early clothes were very 'loud' reds, yellows, oranges... Once he started expressing it, I used to test his preference for blue but he was always determined it's the prettiest colour for him and he also always said he liked my blue clothes. Which I had very little of. So, I gradually added a few more pieces over time and they were all firm favourites from the first moment.
The latest addition are this turtleneck and the scarf. I already wore them a lot and my favourite combination is actually both of them together. I love how strong the colours are and the two together seem to intensify my own feeling of harmony and tranquility which I associate with blue. Wearing this pair for my boy makes me extra happy to think that Angie called me Princess Blue.
Today is Master O's 7th birthday so naturally I wore his favourite colour and left it to him to choose between the black or this plaid skirt. You can see the outcome below I am very happy with it as I adore what Angie referred to as Tin-Tin colours and love experimenting within those parameters.
The skirt somehow managed not to appear in any of my WIWs so far. I love it. I hope you do too, because I plan to wear it a lot...
