WIW: Blue and White for the pool

This is what I wore today to take DS1 for his swimming lessons. It's peaking 113 F here and I baked in the sun (with DS2) while DS1 took his lessons ..... because he wouldn't let me out of sight (Grrrr!) The jeans shorts were pretty hot. I would go for something more breezy for the rest of the lessons.

I am wearing my DIY jeans shorts (cheapie), white pebbled top (F&F) and my pewter loafers (cheapie) because they are the only metallic flats I own (wardrobe hole?). I carried my red canvas tote (Hackett London) to dump in all the swimming necessities. Finished the outfit with my silver leaf earrings and my movie star cheapie sun glasses

113, yikes! And I thought our 95 degree temps were bad! You look gorgeous as usual though! I can imagine the denim was pretty warm, too. I bet your gold converse would look cute with this outfit, and wearing socks would help with any sweaty-feet issues (that always bothers me in flats in hot weather).

You look fantastic, I like the shading on those jeans. 113 sounds BRUTAL. I tried wearing denim shorts when it was around 88 (also a pair of DIY ones) and I was wishing I had something breezier on at that temp.

Hopefully you got to at least put your toes in the pool to cool down!

Karie - Nope I couldn't even dip my toes ... Wah DS2 would go nowhere near the pool and we played in the jungle gym next to the pool.

Wow. At that temperature, I would have melted. Yet you look stunning! Love everything about this outfit. The flats look terrific so if they are not comfortable I would say an upgrade is necessary!

That sounds like brutal heat, I would spend it hiding inside a well air-coditioned place. Your outfit is great, very polished. I would look completely disheveled in such a high temperature.
