Yep, I was kind of all over the place the last week or so, although I notice there are some silhouettes I like to repeat a lot.

#1 Silver pink - hot day, my happiness factor was high, belt was adjusted after photo to cover the waist gather on the dress (my photographer never tells me these things ). Do I need a thinner belt with this?

#2 FBB black for cool rain - trying to figure out how to style a skater skirt I'm a little over. Not sure the length of the jacket works here.

#3 Angie's tube formula but with turquoise - this was so incredibly comfortable, although it's a lot of knit all together.

#4 Maxi! Decided to go with hair down after photo

#5 FFB cool day again - I wanna replace the top buttons on these waterfall tops with dark ones, is that too obsessive?

#6 Not too sure about this one, the skirt is boxier then I expected so I'm always trying to elongate the look a bit - but I think the skirt maybe leans more hot weather/casual than this outfit.

#7 Lacy black - Is the jacket too heavy looking with it?

#8 Trying geometric pattern mixing inspired by Rachy

Oh my goodness, Rabbit, I love all of these! My overall favorite has to be the second group, The layering and boots are so perfect. Can the cuffs of the leather jacket be turned up any?

I love your moody black outfits and you look so elegant in the turquoise maxi! Too obsessive about buttons? No way! It's all in the detail!
#1 warm weather swooshiness! If you are after a more relaxed boho vibe you could try this dress with light tan/rope shoes and belt. And maybe a straw bag or hat!
#3 looks great- I don't think there's too much knit here. You have contrasted the knit with the leather sandals and bag!
#7 I think leather/lace looks great! Elegant rock-chic!

You look great in all of these outfits, Rabbit. Definitely keepers worth repeating.

I do not think it's obsessive to change the buttons on the tops. Darker buttons will make the tops more versatile, in my opinion. Do you even need the buttons? Are they functional? If not, you could just leave them off. In outfit 2, where you asked about the jacket length, I had the feeling the jacket hem was fighting with the drapey pockets. Then on #5 (same jacket and same style top, right?) I was not bothered by the drapey pockets peeking out from under the jacket. I think the difference is that in #2 the buttons on the top are exposed and in #5, the jacket is closed over the top front, hiding the buttons. Hence, my thoughts on the buttons complicating things a bit.

I love your pattern-mixing in 6, especially with those fab metallic shoes! I like your other styling with that skirt, too. And I like the leather jacket with the lace in #7. The leather jacket and sandals are an unexpected combination that I like. I don't know if you can scrunch the sleeves, but I think that would look good.

You look marvelous in all the shots! You are fantastically creative to come up with your layers and combinations. I love them all. My fav is group 3 with the tourquoises. Your FFBO's are all perfection as well. They are all fab!! I love looking at your outfits - and have to go back and study them a little more closely - so so so well done. Wow.

You look great! Matching the outfits with the numbers seems to be to much for my early morning brain, but my favorites are the one with the tube skirt, the one with the mixed media or leather jacket with olive tunic, and the lacey skirt with the sleeveless top - the jacket looks good but maybe a bit heavy as you say.

pil and Firecracker - what a great idea to scrunch the jacket sleeves, why did I never think of that! In the mixed media jacket (leggings outfits) it works great. The leather jacket it will work if I unzip the cuffs and turn them, need to play with that some more.

fuzzylogic - I like your boho idea for the pink dress. Got to try that with tan leather (goes to closet...) I have the straw hat! and some potential sandals...

Firecracker - I'm totally going to cut off those buttons, they do nothing, and might sew the top of the 'henly' gap at the neck closed - right now I wear a cami just to cover that part. Great idea.

Okay, I've decided...I love the black lace skirt set the best. I was calling this 5 but just noticed you called it 7. And then I think I've switched second favorite to set #3!

Well, I have only just started looking at your WIW's but they are stunning. You look really, really good in black (lucky you!!) and equally well in the bright pink and turquoise. You layer the drapey tops so well. And no, I don't think the jacket in 7 is too heavy for the (leather?) skirt. Very well done! Oh, and replace the buttons if that would make you happier--or paint them with black nail polish.

What a flawlessly fabulous week you have had, rabbit! I am bowled over. cannot choose favourites, though I lingered over the FFBO in #2 -- such beautiful layering!

I think there is a certain coherence in colour depth/intensity, as well as fluid, soft fabrications in your 'capsule'. Visually v coherent, vs your description!

I actually don't find the skirt too casual summer but this may be because I am used to similar patterns in formal contexts in India.

I think that a slimmer belt might look better in the first outfit. Right now the belt seems to be the center of attention, and I wonder if a slimmer belt might create a more balanced outfit.

I don't have any problems with the jacket length in the second outfit. I think that because the entire outfit is black, the length isn't as important (?).

I don't think that the leather jacket is too heavy for the lacy skirt.

As for replacing buttons, I wasn't quite sure which tops you meant. Is it the drapey top in #2, with the three shiny buttons? It's not obsessive to want to change buttons, but I kind of liked the shine in outfit #2. I felt like it gave my eyes something to rest on in the large area of black.

I love the color of the turquoise on you. And you wear black so well! Excellent job with layering. My fave outfits were the second one (all black) and the turquoise maxi.

I LOVE the turquoise on you! That's a really pretty, fresh color.

And as for the skirt you're worried about, I don't think it looks too boxy on you. The top has enough shape to it and I think it draws the eye upward, while the straight skirt has a nice pattern without standing out too much. It's a great outfit, IMO!

claire - I have some Martha Stewart all surface paint that is a dark pewter, might go that route...hmm...

Manidipa - You are right about the drapiness and color use, that is fairly consistent for me. Also thanks for your take on how the skirt pattern reads - it was made in India. Thinking about it, I bought it in season in the winter, although intended to wear it in warm weather because it's 100% cotton and has paler colors.

Gigi - I will keep an eye out for a narrower silver belt. I have a narrow pale gray alligator one that is too long, a narrow black/white leopard one that was just not quite right, and I sometimes get frustrated with having to buy the same color twice, once for pants (L) and once for skirts (M). But I think I really would use a narrow silver one a lot with dresses. With the buttons I was looking at both the black and olive top (covered by the jacket). I think I might try painting them a dark metallic to keep a little interest up there like you say, and if it doesn't work, cut them. I think they are more noticeable in RL than in the photo.

Thanks Kaelyn - good to hear the skirt works. I like tourquoise too, it's a new color for me this year, I sort of accidentally started wearing it at first, but it goes well with my neutrals.

Rabbit, I LOVE all these outfits! I really love the style/mood mixing as it really changes thing up! Pink and turquoise are BEAUTIFUL colours on you and I can see that you like turquoise as well as you have 3-4 outfits in the colour. What I'm a huge fan of, though are your moody black outfits like the ones in 2,4 and 5!

Grayscale - It was from Ross, 'Solitaire by Ravi Khosla' and I can't find it online but there are a number of other laser cut black skirts out there online at various price points when I've searched. I've seen laser cut black dresses at Forever21 I think. They are fairly delicate if the lacy part snags and I think I'm going to dry clean (though I rarely need to wash skirts), but I love the two layer effect and the clean cuts.

kkards and Ms.KatieKat - wearing brighter colors is pretty new for me - black has always been my fallback, but I'm enjoying mixing it up.

Neel - that pink dress is so fun to walk in, the swishy hem kind of spins out around your calves when you walk as the fabric is a little heavy.

TraceyLiz65 - it's a little schizophrenic seasonally, but I don't see many of the same people day to day and am happy to use cloud-cover as a indicator of how to dress ;). I really like how you embrace a diverse range of looks but your sense of color, pattern, and proportion makes them largely cohesive with one another and puts your personal stamp on them. I'm trying for something similar.

Aubergine - thanks! I've discovered putting up my hair can sometimes help when I'm wearing higher collars, which shorten my neck -- but it can go either way with lower necklines.

And the rest of the week was a mixture of soft and hard edge - but all quite arty, eclectic and creative - which is a common thread running through your style. What a great bunch of outfits! I love the variety here, from pretty in pink to edgy in black.
My very favorite of the bunch, in spite of all that I've said recently about being over black, is the leather and lace one. Go figure!
I love the outfit without the jacket, but if you're cool and need a topper I can't think of a better one than the black leather. You look fabulous in black!

I'm sure it's no surprise to hear that I enjoy seeing such a variety of looks; you definitely still have common elements threaded throughout. I hear you on taking queues from the weather, I do the same. The pink was such a surprise but I love the color for you, gorgeous! I agree with a thin white belt there to keep things lighter. I really like the draping in #2, and the jacket length totally works for me in a short-over-longer-over-long way (I tried that recently and enjoyed the look). You look just as good in turquoise, another gorgeous color on you! I don't think replacing the buttons is too much, those little details are important. The printed skirt in #4 looks like it'd be a 3-season skirt, spring/summer/fall, though I think it could be really fun paired with white winter pieces in winter. Love #5, especially without the jacket (looks good with it, but I wanna see those sleeves pushed up to add some of that skin exposure back in). Great print mix in #6! Dig those cool holo sandals.

Rabbit - these are all so good and all so different - I love that you are always switching it up and still keeping true to yourself. Really loving the turquoise on you. It's really good with your skin and hair!! and tell me more about the shoes in those outfits - they look so COOL!!

I think the skater skirt works and I'd like to see it in a summery iteration - perhaps with those black gladiator sandals and some white?

@rabbit: I really like the brighter, softer colours on you. For some reason it works well on your skintone. I also like the black outfits though - somehow you give it a sort of "dreamy" feel. Maybe your attitude/personality! I definitely encourage you to experiment with colours because YOU CAN ROCK IT!
