I have a bunch of backlogged WIWs, but I thought this one deserved its own post! I started knitting this grey-and-white colorwork skirt in February and finally finished it just in time for Mother's Day brunch. (I literally wove in the last end one hour before I had to leave, so needless to say I wore it unblocked, which is not really ideal for colorwork (I did steam iron it which helped), but whatever. The stitch pattern will look better and more clear after blocking but I don't think anyone noticed when I was wearing it. The reason I was so keen to wear it immediately was that Mother's Day was 43 degrees, and was probably the last day of this spring that will be cold enough to wear a double thickness knit skirt.

Anyway, I paired it for its initial outing with a black shell, white jacket, red bag, jewelry (pendant from my mom, and bracelet from my MIL) and my OTK boots (because, 43ºF). Really enjoyed wearing this, and I'm glad I got the chance to wear the skirt once before it got too hot! (It is now blocked properly and put away for the summer.)

ETA: I also got a haircut! (long, long overdue). Same cut as always - this is the day after with all the salon styling still in, so it's looking more polished than normal, ha.

ETA2: Here's the Ravelry page in case any knitters are interested in the details: http://www.ravelry.com/project.....work-skirt
