WIW 9/28: Yikes! More camo! (Bonus shots of meetup!)

I hesitate to post this look after the non-love for these very same jeans in Natalie's thread from yesterday, but I have broad shoulders and can take whatever you all dish out!

I had planned to wear the camo pants with my new red sweatshirt a la Angie's fab MOTG capsule from a little while back (photo 2), but the weather forecast didn't really cooperate so I looked around for something I could layer, and my red polka-dot cardi jumped out of the closet and said "wear me!" I know it's not everybody's cuppa, but I liked it well enough (even though I felt a tiny bit underdressed among the fab Fabbers at the Santa Monica meetup!). I had my denim jacket in the car but the weather was perfectly perfect so it stayed in the car all day!

Camo jeans: GAP
Red polka-dot cardi: Costco
Black tee; ancient, don't remember and it's in the wash!
Studded belt: Streets Ahead
Non-Cons: Nike (you can't see all that well, but the toe caps are red tartan)
Black bag: Cole Haan

Bonus siting of me in flats! I've had these shoes for five or six years and have worn them only a handful of times. But they were perfect for a day of trying to keep up with Our Fearless Leader!

I love the camo on you and on Natalie! My poison eye is for the flat shoes, but that is my own issue. You all look great and I admired your outfit in earlier pics. So much fun!

The camo is super on you, MaryK. I'm tempted to give it a try but it would be way outside my comfort zone That skirt is all kinds of gorgeous and I love the colors of your new sweatshirt.

Just out of curiosity, how do the mechanics of these meet ups work? The group descends upon a store and everyone splits up, then asks for and gives opinions in the dressing room?

And Angie with her new friend is too precious for words.

Una, I have a poison eye for flat shoes, too! LOL

Pil, we all descend on the store and it's basically just chaos! LOL We sort of split up and sort of don't, and whoever is around at any given time gives opinions. And if we really want Angie's opinion, we venture out of the dressing room and find her if she's not right there! She is so gracious and helpful and lovely, it's such a treat to have her around!!

Hard to describe, really! Kind of like this.

Love the pairing with red polka dot cardi, so unexpected and fun! How fun that we were camo twins yesterday. I bought them after admiring them on you previously. Looks like you had fun, everyone looks so happy and fab.

I love everything you bought yesterday (and keep looking at that cute sweatshirt!). I'm in the navy with subtle camo camp that I bought from Zara last year and they've grown on me, because I can wear them with white, grey, black and brights, as well.

Your outfit was sublimely sensible for hardcore shopping, with lots of whimsy and plenty of style. Ladies, she wore a fitted black tee under her cardigan so she could easily pop things on without having to go into a fitting room. Smart!
