I just read Runcarla's post and realized that she and I are on the same dark floral, silver sneaker wavelength! The truth is that I first thought of Brooklyn when I thrifted this dark floral top by a local designer. I don't know what possessed me to mix these up but Runcarla has emboldened me to ask for thoughts, comments and suggestions. Plus I just thought it was a fun coincidence!

Oh I really like this! I like the pairing of the white pants/silver belt with the dark floral top, brightens the whole look instead of darkening it as I would have instinctively done with black pants. Also, you have amazing hair

Gosh! I 'blame' Brooklyn, Jules, and Angie! Brooklyn with her wonderful dark florals/dark romance that just look so d@$& good planted the seed. Jules, who posted about the Hershel Hoffman Colaboration backpack Started me down the road. Angie, who pointed out more than once, that large florals repeat the shapes of my curly hairstyle. So, I'm constantly on the lookout for large patterned florals on black, navy blue, or olive green to add to my wardrobe. They are a nice antidote to all the solids and stripes.

I think florals work the same for you (repeating the curl of your hair style). Your top is a great find and the dark red of the background works wonderfully with your natural colouring. Of course I'm all for white jeans and silver shoes....❤️+ for your outfit which has it all - colour, pattern, texture, shine!

Shevia, you look so darn cute! The top is amazing with your coloring and the way the floral pattern picks up the waves in your hair....it’s perfect! The hand bag is one of my favorite colors. I am personally in love with your sneakers! What brand are they? Are they still available? I have mostly been wearing either silver or blue footwear, and I’m slowly moving to flats or at least flatter than my current collection!

I always try to analyse why something looks so good. Here I think the colors with your complexion, the mix with the light trousers and learned something new: flowers with curls.

Belt - Zara from years past
Sneakers - Y3 Adidas collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto. These have been in my closet for years but may be available second hand somewhere
Bag - I forgot! but thrifted for the color
Angie - I cannot put on white anything without thinking of you. Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement always!

This gives me inspiration for a black leaf print blouse I have that I could wear with my white jeans.....I might just do that tomorrow and see if it works.
