I wore my pattern mix outfit today. I am also carrying my new Matt & Nat favourite bag.

How does it relate to real life? Still a go on the mix?

I am adding a pic of my casual shopping outfit from the weekend. A little tonal and the metallic sperry boat shoes.

Dianthus, yes I think it does work IRL. Very clever pattern mixing in my book. I love the colors in this outfit:) They are very flattering on you. The outfit looks great as is but I find myself wondering how it would look with the top tucked and belted as an alternative option? I can see both these garments playing well with other things in your closet too.

Totally works! I am loving these colours with your new hair, too. I also think the top would look great with your suit. But with the pants it is a great transitional look into fall.

Heavens, you have gorgeous new hair! I love this pattern pairing --- the top's colours pull out the subtle blue in the plaid so beautifully. And that bag is the perfect accessory --- to my eye, the rivets/eyelets (what IS the word I want?!) sort of echo the leopard spots, subtly pulling it all together.

Thanks ladies. I have a taupe suit that this top would work with as well. I will also try tucking it. Not sure how it will work but will give it a whirl. Thanks for the suggestions.

thanks again for the feedback. Pattern mixing is quite foreign to me. I am more of a solids person.

Ceit, yes the pants are from Nygard. I prefered the grey but the brown fit much better.

Hi Dianthus --

I saw your original post with the fabrics and thought they looked great together -- and they're just as appealing on you given how good you look in those blues. Love the menswear pattern in the trousers mixed with the feminine print!
