Today I’m wearing one of Angie’s formulas from today’s blog post. Super casual for working from home, and we have an outdoor neighborhood happy hour later, and I may just change into longer denim shorts for that.

I’ve done a lot of updating my summer wardrobe this year, and perhaps a lot of it qualifies as JFE, but I’m feeling the roomy tops right now, as I’m a little burnt out on so many tees, which is all I wore last year. I’m enjoying these breezy blouses and shirts for a little change of pace. I’m not getting rid of the tees though — they are classic and I’m sure I’ll still wear them.

Today’s ensemble (1-2) is a new top from Velvet — I love the red and blue print, and it’s super light and cool for a hot day. Worn with old Lucky Brand denim shorts and Tslops sandals from South Africa. Jenny Bird earrings and silver ring from SA.

Yesterday’s outfit (3-4) is a roomy white Xirena buttonfront shirt, blue shorts from Anthro, Ancient Greek Sandals from a few years ago, and a white crossbody by Aimee Kestenberg. I found with wearing more white this summer, I wanted a streamlined, simple, casual white crossbody, and chanced upon this one at the Rack.

Pics 5-8 are of me in a pair of Agolde Wilder jeans, which I liked on me more than any white jeans I’ve tried in a long time. They are high rise (11”), which is not my favorite, but the crotch doesn’t sit too low, so they’re not awful that way. The dressing room mirror in 5-6 is definitely flattering and not entirely accurate, so don’t be fooled — I think how the jeans look in 7-8 is more accurate. But they’re a good pair of white jeans if anyone is in the market for some. I thought about getting them but ultimately left them behind. Maybe I’ll check them out again if I continue to make progress on my weight loss goals.
