I feel like a Hobbit with the Uniqlo puffer as a waistcoat! #1 styling per today’s post. I actually wear this puffer a lot - by itself, under a jean jacket or a utility jacket or trench coat. Now for the OBGs! The silky shirt has lots of ‘good feels’ for me. I got it to go with a ball skirt for a wedding that I was attending at the end of 2016. I’ve worn it with black pants for a work look, and with olive chinos for a casual evening of Bridge. It’s a part of my dressy capsule. Never paired it with jeans, but I’ve had the inspo pick #3 for a while and decided the time was right. Besides, no chores for me today. I’m celebrating a milestone birthday! 60 years!


The jacket hasn’t been in my closet all that long, but it’s thrifted - so has seen duty before it came my way. It will be in my closet for a while ‘cause I love it - so it has OBG written all over it.

These shoes are ‘me’ incarnated as footwear. I’m babying them and hope to have them for a long while yet.

*FWIW - the oldest garment can’t be seen! It’s a M&S bra I bought while travelling in the UK 7 years ago! Not ‘fancy’, but comfortable and provides a pretty profile under sheer or close fitting garments. It’s my best, most favourite bra! I keep it for special occasions now.
