WIW - knotting at the waist and some pattern mixing

Here's what I'm wearing today. The weather is miserable again and it has been raining all day long, so it's another 'fall' outfit!

I really need to duplicate this skirt in another neutral, maybe grey or dark navy. I'm wearing it all the time.

Wow! I love this! That little peek of patterned tank from under the plaid and the polka-dot tights are perfect.

This skirt is such a workhorse, I suspect you could duplicate it twice over and not be overburdened! But if it's only one, I think grey would be lovely with your other things, like the red ikat top as well as this plaid.

This is so very Astrid! I love the pattern mixed tops and the dotted tights: spunky and fun! That skirt would be a no-brainer in navy, if it's available. You look fab!

Thanks Manidipa! Yes, I think grey would work well. I haven't seen something similar in the stores, but I have a sewing pattern that resembles it. I didn't have much time recently, but I might get around to sewing in the next few weeks. I should be able to find some solid fabric similar in weight to the black skirt.

Fun. I love the pattern mixing at the top and the hose (but, goodness me, wearing hose in July - we've had erratic weather too, swinging from November-like to roasting in the sun).

I like the idea of duplicate skirt, this style is great on you. What season should that second skirt 'cover'? Perhaps you could look into something tweedy? That would be grey, but subtly patterned. Nadya had great outfit a few days ago, with linen pants that were not plain grey but had some textural interest.

Cute outfit Astrid! I love that your plaid shirt has ruffles on it. I can see why you want to duplicate the skirt, it looks super on you. My vote would be in navy and then also a gray tweed

Too cute! Although what's with the weather? We are sweltering (okay, today was the first day in ages that was bearable) and you guys are freezing your tushes off! Maybe you should make that skirt in bright yellow or something to provide a little sunshine.

Thanks Ornella! The link is great, I could really see a similar 'tweed' for the skirt, it should have some texture in any case! It should be suitable for fall/winter/spring I guess. I wear the black one all the time, short of very warm weather.
