WIW - is this disaster as my family thinks

I was running late this morning and I put this outfit on that was probably better in my head. Reactions from my DD and DH were not very favorable, but I didn’t have time to change. I took a quick photo before doing my hair and makeup - this is how I look straight from the bed, before morning coffee I haven’t even found my glasses yet LOL. DD advised different top and DH different blazer. What is YLF advice? I am wearing shoes in finds and also white bag.

Jenni NZ - I thought that pattern mixing is the isse when my DH told me this morning that he doesn’t like my outfit. But when I pressed him on it, he said it is a blazer. I think he just couldn’t put his finger on what he doesn’t like and told me the first thing LOL

It’s a lot of statement pieces in one outfit, for me. I also prefer the soft citron with other colors than these particular prints. But experimentation is good!

unfrumped - probably a navy blazer and/or white top would be better. But this is most likely the last days of summer weather here and I wanted to wear this top and blazer before I retire them for the season. But maybe not together:)

I like pattern mixing but this is pretty crazy. I think I would like it better if the top was black and white, or a repeat of the blue somewhere in the outfit. I see the pants as black and white. I like the blazer and it’s color.

I think it looks quite nice. It is a bold pattern mix but works for me and I like the navy with yellow. Not sure husbands and kids are the best judge of style

I love it - especially cheery bright blazer! Adding black belt ( or navy ) might help separating the patterns but it'll be too predictable and not really fun. Anyway - wear it to your heart content !

I'd have repeated the blue somewhere else (blue and white checked pants instead of black/wh) or done a black/wh print top with bl/wh pants , but the patterns themselves work really well together . The yellow blazer adds the perfect bit of punch too. Don't listen to family opinions - they shouldn't say a word unless asked

lisap - I did ask because I was unsure, but then didn’t listen anyway LOL. And BTW pants are navy and white, not black and white. I would never mix navy and black LOL, this is maybe my only strict rule
