WIW - in denial about the season

Give me just a little sunshine, and I’ll pretend that it’s still summer and wear white bottoms! Outfits this week feature oldies, but goodies. The white jeans (CK) were picked up in early 2018, hacked by me and this year embroidered by me - and have been workhorses - 26 wears since I started counting January of this year, so probably 3 times that in total? They are starting to show signs of wear (a weird ‘stretched’ bit across the lower abdomen, and the knees bag out a bit after a few wears) but they still come out of the wash bright white! The jean jacket is from 2013! I’ll probably own it for the rest of my life...

Love your whole outfit. It looks warm enough and comfortable. Our seasonal weather calls for layers. Morning and evening call for some sort of topper. Some days I add a hat and socks. By mid-day the topper comes off as do socks. Right now it hooks like a grey skied rainy day but it’s all smoke and ashes might rain down.
Embroidery is a great way to vary your collection of jeans.
Thank you for making and sending the tiny masks. I think they will work well. I will let you know.

You have just convinced me, I have the same or very similar white CK jeans, they have also remained brilliant white, and mine are just too long and did not get much wear this summer, so I am going to hack mine too. The embroidery is super cute.

why prolong the summer as long as you can.I so agree that jeans jackets are an enduring wardrobe staple and I am adding my vote to the embroidery lovers.

Love the embroidered jeans! I wouldn't have thought to pair them with prints, so maybe will have to take another look at mine when I feel maximal again.

The title of this post makes me smile every time I see it. I’ve been waiting to comment until I remember the name for wonderful creative repairs that enhance an item to make it better than it was before. I still can’t remember it, but this is certainly a good example. Very nice!

Kintsugi is the word I was thinking of, but looking up i see it apparently refers only ceramics. Sashimi and boro are different emroidery terms. This explains better than I can. https://upcyclestitches.com/di.....-and-boro/
