WIW - Angie-approved Boston purchase & flares!

Go Team Wear! High happiness quotient & I haven't even left the house! We have an event at my studio building tonight with a bunch of architects & designers so this feels appropriate. Arty and not too dressed up for an artist, yet professional.

Blazer from BCBGMaxAzria was one of those "am I crazy or is this awesome?" things. Angie answered the latter. Sleeves have cuts in them so whatever I wear underneath is visible in the openings. I tried it on with a bunch of tops and think I have nearly endless possibilities with this jacket.

Jeans are the Perfect Boot from Gap
-- trying out a mild flare in an inexpensive way. I like the wash -- lighter than most of my jeans.

People, you need to understand, this is the "magic" jacket that looked good on almost everybody. It worked for tall Janet and taller Sveta and it also looked really great (in a pale grey) on me. It is very cool with the slashed sleeves.

ambergreen, there are times when it seems I have to *make* myself wear blazers, as they are a bit dressier than my lifestyle actually requires. However, when they are as cool as this one, I find a way!

I'll warn you all, this is not the only jacket purchase from that shopping stop. Stay tuned for another one that I'll probably wear tomorrow!

Eliza, actually, I think the vents *do* add to the comfort. They're good for a little ventilation (the steam heat is still turned on in my studio building, even though we don't need it today and I'm on the 12th floor, so it's warmer up here), and I think they help with the feeling of a little more freedom of movement.

Fun new blazer! I was hoping we would get a peek at your am I crazy or not purchase. The peekabo detail on the arm has so many possibilities for layering. And nice jeans, I have the sexy boot by gap and am quite happy with them.

I may have been the only person who tried it that this jacket did not work on. It was too long in the upper body and the stance was too low.
