Had an outing scheduled, so inspired by today’s blog post dressed in minimal-ish coat style. I could have used a black bag, but decided to ‘bookended’ my beanie hat. I kept a screen shot of a photo Irina shared a while back (image #3) - with a grey on grey outfit enliven by a pop of (subdued) colour. I’m keeping an eye open for a similar grey beanie with more weight/slouch than my current hats. I think it would be a good look when I wear the coat buttoned up and belted (like in the Finds image). I’ve been wearing the coat mostly unbelted.

I was itching to add a scarf with burgundy and blue, that I felt would pull the outfit together better. Maybe next time? Normally I would wear a beret with this coat, I’ve got to do more experimenting with accessories.

While I was out I saw a woman in a full length camel coat belted at the waist. She was wearing a somewhat casual wide brimmed camel hat with a contrasting brown cord around the crown - and she looked so good! (Kind of like image #4 without the scarf and a below knee coat.)
