Well, I'm sitting on the couch feeling a bit puny this morning, but the "blues" refers to color in this case, not my mood! My Deep Winter capsule is turning out to be a bit dark, even for my taste, so I've been back in the closet, finding new combinations that lighten things up just a bit.

Navy has proven to be a favorite alternative to black and grey, and seems to lift my complexion and spirits. This outfit echoes Angie's outfit post today. My choice for pants isn't quite as "skinny," but these olive, lean cargos from Lee are quite comfy and good for curvy figures. They also come in burgundy. I do wish they were a tad longer!

(I'm trying to find a better way to take outfit pics. None of the angles are quite right yet. Note that I have v---eee-ry short legs in #1, and appear to be taller than the doorway. In #1, my legs are more slender, but my head looks impossibly small and my face looks flat and two dimensional. I'll work it out!)

1. Pants in deep olive (Lee, from Kohls)
2. Tunic - Caslon, from Nordies
3. Jacket, BR (last year)

4. Suede booties from Kohls (I prefer the sleeker B.O.C. booties in brown, but these pants are a tad short for higher heels)
