Ok, I’ve heard wine is alcohol and alcohol is addictive, did I listen? No.

Last week I bought a burgundy jacket and this week I bought a pair of wine trousers.

I’ve tried it on with tops and it seems versatile enough. I think I’ve never worn as much colour as in this outfit creation session, but it feels oddly natural.
What do you think? Esp. like to hear your thoughts on the pairing of wine trousers with burgundy jacket.

(trousers need alteration at the waist, as usual)

Oh, I love it! You look GORGEOUS in these colours. Jacket & trousers look beautiful and elegant. And the addition of the other colours is just wonderful. Very fab with the scarves.

Tonal Gorgeousness. YES, the pants work with the jacket = Pseudo Suit, which will make you happy.

Loving the icy blue and sour coral with the wine best - #2 and #6. But all outfits are lovely.

#4 is soothing and pretty.

Try the scarf in #1 with #6. No blouse, but make the scarf your "collar".

Hoodie & Coat combo will look nice over #4 and #5.

As you guessed, I went for them because I wanted to make a pseudo suit. Glad that works.
Wearing scarf instead of shirt underneath feels right, yes, and well, my neglected scarves will see some wear that way
And wow, the Furla looks gorgeous, what a rich colour.

Where do I start? Your wine pants are fan-tas-tic. They look great with the jacket, and you look fabulous in every outfit. My favorites are 2 and 6, with 4 and 5 close behind, but really all of them work. Seeing yours and Angie's capsules makes me want a dose of wine too.

Those pants are awesome and tempting. I wear a lot of burgundy/wine on my top half, but colourful bottoms push a limit for me. The suit combo is marvellous. I especially like #3 with the patterned top. I'm also drooling over Angie's Furla bag (as I drink a glass of cotes du rhone, no less!)...

Wow! I am so in love with these looks, especially 2 and 6. I’m trying to think through wear fall colors without going too dark and this is the way to do it. I love the bright/light elements. Taking notes!

I love the colour and think it’s very versatile. I agree with Angie that the blazer works with the pants.
My favourite outfit is the one with the muted floral (?) blouse. I like the femininity it adds.

You need to wear those pants everyday , full stop. With the fuchsia sweater - the whole thing is perfection . I will admit I'm not keen on the jacket and pants together colour-wise. However, I see I am in the minority, and I'm ok with that But man, is burgundy ever your colour. The rest of us need to step back.

Those pants are fantastic on you. I LOVE them with the sweater in #4. I’m with Lisa on the minority bench of not loving the pants and jacket together, however, both are keepers!

WOW! Wine loves you. I like the jacket very much with the trousers, especially with the coral color added. The fact that they are not an exact match but blend, makes the outfit more interesting.
Love all the scarves and the wine and ice outfit in 2. The print in 3 with the other pieces is also a favorite. I also cannot get enough of wine this fall. Wine and olive may be my version of red and green for Christmas this year.

This colour suits you very well and I love the new trousers (and jacket)..... I think they work together too.

I am not so sure about 3 - maybe with the trousers or the jacket, but I would prefer to sub black jacket or trousers for the other......if that makes sense.

The scarf ties it all together very well indeed.

This is most excellent. Job done on the pseudo suit, which in my opinion is cooler than an actual suit because there's enough mismatch. I was hoping for a shot with the charming ribbon necktie you've been wearing lately, but I'll take that lovely blouse in #3

I love this color on you! It is bright enough without being bright, if you know what I mean. My favorite is #4 but I really like them all. I'm with the minority regarding the pants and jacket together but I'm willing to be wrong. Those pants are beautiful.

Angie, is the length on the model supposed to be normal pants length this year? I am struggling with length.

These colours love you. I am with Approprio in that the slight mismatch between the pants and jacket makes this look better than a traditional suit.
Maybe you need Angie’s Ferla bag just to give you a bag to match....

Thank you all for taking the time to give me your opinion.

I’m surprised burgundy suits me so well, and that it was so easy to integrate in my wardrobe (a good thing, since the budget is nearly gone and there would be no money to add « complements »)
I think the pseudo suit will work, because the textures are different. Otherwise, I can still wear the pieces separately.
I’m surprised too, that here I am, planning to wear knits with scarves when I used to wear shirts. It’s like I never plan my wardrobe changes, they just happen (under heavy influence of fashion, of course).

Liz : you can have the blouse in #3, it’s Zara, this season (probably not in store anymore, but still on the website).
