At least for me at this stage in my life, they do.

I dug out this almost-forgotten pair of chambray-linen-ish wide leg pants from a few years ago. There are a couple of things that make them not the easiest to work with — they are only long enough for flat shoes, they are snug when I first put them on (but they stretch within the first half hour of wear), and the light color (for me!) makes me a little self-conscious. I realize these are probably mid wash to most people’s eye, but I am much more comfortable with my bottom half clad in dark shades.

I actually tried on a few variations on these pants and another pair of similarly-colored dramatic wide-legged jeans (those lean more boho). I played with a few tops and finally decided to wear this version today, with the orange and blue large scale plaid. It’s been a summer favorite for a couple of years now.

I also kind of liked a version with a long-sleeved off-white lightweight V-neck sweater, semi tucked with a belt, but the orange shirt felt easier and more flattering. I was also worried about getting too warm today.

I like what I settled on, but is it only me that is struggling with how to style wide leg pants? I like the vibe, but not being a tucker, it’s hard to find the right styling to look easy casual current and not frumpy.
