Okay does anyone else want to confess to their biggest splurge of the year? I have a major event coming up in the spring (which is the only way I can justify this purchase) so I have been trying to be proactive in the hope that I would not have to panic as the date nears. Dress check, cropped tuxedo jacket check, bag - got that covered. But I could not find shoes that I liked. To be fair, I "outgrew" all of my shoes after the birth of my son and I have replaced dress booties but I had not found dress shoes that I liked. Then I saw Janet's post. Yes, Janet, are you reading this? It's all your fault!! You had to try on the Valentino Rockstuds...you had to buy them, you had to look fabulous in them and post outfits totally rocking their little studs off like nobody's business. I think I scoped out every pair of nice dress shoes on the internet but it was too late. So I broke down and went to NM and I tried them on - gorgeous, comfortable, unique and in my size and color - the last pair left. What was I to do? Did you ever just give up and purchase something because you knew that that piece would make you divinely happy and you would have it forever? You bought it because, in your heart you knew, if you bought the less expensive, practical, okay pair you would hate wearing them and buy several pairs you didn't like instead of buying the one really expensive pair you loved? Anyway, that was the biggest spluge I have ever made and the funny thing is I don't regret it!! Anyone else want to fess up?
