I'm really hoping the wide leg silhouette lasts as long (longer!) than the skinny leg trend. One can avoid spandex in the wide leg pants.

Fall trends? My favorite (of those that I am aware) are tailored clothes. I am looking forward to wearing all my colorful and neutral suits….especially the ones with longer length blazers.

I’m also happy to see a return of chunky/cozy knits. I pulled out my knitting needles and am planning to make something…..probably not a vest. I saw a crew neck sweater I love, but it’s too expensive, so I might attempt to make something similar.…..

I guess I am trying camouflage this year. Is it a trend? I don't even know for sure. In any case, new to me.

Very late to the trend, but I just added my first pair of dressier sneakers to my closet, too. Finally found a leather pair that fit. Soft 7s haven't worked for me, and the hunt has been a challenge.

I’m not sure yet! I feel strongly that I have all “my trends” covered now that I have what was missing - the new versatile BOSS suit! So feeling extra zen and balanced about my wardrobe and style.

I continue to look for items on my shopping list:

- rain boots
- short bright warm puffer
- dressy blush and light blue coats
- dressy citron Furla satchel
- white and light blue fleece lined hi -tops
- dressy red pants that are not wide leg, which I have already
- more cute dressy pants!
- solid dressy knitwear

I am trying wider pants. I have some brown plaid but my eye still needs to adjust to the silhouette.

I want to wear more brown with brights and with earth tones.
I would not say no to some patchwork if the right piece comes along.

ETA, the trendier parts of my style are:

jeans, pants, toppers, eyewear, hair, creating interesting juxtapositions, and wild colour combinations. Or wearing brights from head-to-toe that few people do. VERY occasionally I am trendy with tops because you need the right support act with trendy pants. So these are the areas where I usually I zone in.

I am Modern Classic and Modern Retro with the rest:

bags, shoes, shorts, dresses, skirts, make-up, jewellery, nails (no polish at all except for maybe clear from time to time).

I am loving the 1970s vibe in fashion right now. Suiting with softer proportions and crisp cotton shirts over turtlenecks really appeal to me as do dark denim high waist jeans and statement sleeve tops.

If we ever get fall weather here, I guess the trendiest thing I’m currently planning to wear is my new houndstooth sweater vest (not the exact one in Finds — I found one with black trim that suits me better).

I’m also looking forward to wearing my bootcut jeans — are those trending? Or am I hopelessly behind (or way ahead of) the curve? LOL I don’t care, I’m wearing them. I’d love to find more wide leg pants but it’s difficult with the dominance of extreme high rises.

Tall boots are trending again, and I have a handful of pairs from years past that have not been worn in a couple of years. It would be nice to have occasion to wear them this F/W.

Fun thread! I am way into lug-soled boots, Chelsea boots, chunky knitwear (including vests and midi skirts), wide-leg and pleated pants, metallic/sparkle for daytime, patterns and pattern mixing, and unusual color combos. Cannot wait for cooler temps and fall to arrive!

Nothing really trendy is on my list. I’m looking for a pair of pants and jeans in grey or navy, wider leg style. And a shorter length unlined wool coat, oversized. Shoes are my biggest challenge but I don’t wear trendy, chunky shoes.

Wait a second… how do y’all know what the fall trends are? I just went and searched ‘fall 2021 2022’ on Pinterest and really didn’t get much… a little Balmain, a little Dior, and some designers I haven’t really heard of… and that was all over the place.

I did go to Target for diet coke and saw a handbag I really liked. I didn’t get it because I rarely carry one… but I’m thinking of going back and getting it anyways ‘cuz it was cool. A short handled over the shoulder satchel. Should I? I could force myself to carry it on office days. Put my lunch and notebook in it…

RachyLou, what do you carry them in now? I figured those shoes were trendy when I realized all the young women I was seeing them on couldn’t possibly be wearing their bedroom slippers around town. I mentioned them to a friend in Cleveland, who said she’d seen people wearing them in gas stations on the turnpike to Toledo, so I’m calling it an international trend.

I don't know if it's trending, but I must have felt a real need for cropped cotton and linen cardigans, because I ended up with four! Three of them are fairly heavy weight cotton (cream, mustard, and dusky pink; the latter to be dyed to a more flattering brownish pink) and so perfect for cool weather; and one is a copper colored linen that is perfect for summer, if evenings get cool (a rarity these days) and in arctic air conditioning.

Cropped items are a no-brainer with my wardrobe of high-rise wide leg pants and jeans. Which I look forward to wearing when the weather finally cools off.

High rises fit me the best, so that's a "trend" I'm all over.

I would LOVE to be into the lug sole/combat boots trend but I do much better with a thin sole (balance/mobility issues).

Wide-leg pants, yes please. Full-length pants, yes please. Sneakers with everything forever, yes please.
