Smittie, I did! I did get the Kork Ease booties! I just had to order them in burgundy, so no at-home pics. I tried on the cognac ones, and would have gotten that color if burgundy weren't an option. They feel wonderful. I am between 7 and 7.5 in most shoes, and I took the 7 in them. And even though I have a high instep, I can get them on and off fine, in case any of this info is of use.
DonnaF, I was surprised the oxfords fit me, actually. I've tried on Louise et Cie before, and they were too narrow for me, but these are quite roomy. I took the 7.5, though, not the 7. I got the 7 on, but my toes felt squished, so I think I needed the 7.5 mainly for width. It felt like a world of difference between the two. The metallic printed suede is quite soft, so I think that is part of what makes them work for me. I didn't try the patent leather version, but I'm guessing they would not have been as comfy on my somewhat-high-volume foot.
delurked, it is so true. Trying on is helpful; it's why I was willing to go to two different stores today. I just wanted to be done, as much as possible. I know I'm lucky to live near one store, let alone four of them!
Smittie, thanks for your comment on the jeans. When I saw my photos, I was wondering if they were too small (from the wrinkles on the back thigh). But they feel awesome, and they're the same size as the ones I already had (and wear a lot).
Suz, glad to be of help! Are you considering the Rag & Bone Dre at all? I have the burgundy pair from a couple of years ago, and the dark olive ones this year didn't quite work for me--too small in the calves, even in a size up. So I passed on them this time. Plenty of fab jeans in the sea, as they say. Oh, and I tried the blue denim Dre, and they were ridiculously small in the calf. I didn't even spend time zipping them--next!
