Thanks for the info on the kork ease booties! It is indeed very helpful!

Suz I hope they work out as planned! You'll have to show us when you get them.

Fab picks! All look terrific on you. I especially love the bag. Streamlined and sleek.

And now you're done and can sit back and watch. Kinda fun.

I

Thanks for the pics, and especially your notes on the Louise et Cie, Fenn shoes. I ordered the same ones- can't wait to try them on.

Bumping, since I just added photos of the DL 1961 jeans, which arrived today.

Fab jeans, Sharan. But I'm curious whether you tried the Paige? They might be even nicer.

Thanks for the tip, Angie. Are they super skinny in the calf? The sales associate brought me the DL1961s because I was not liking the tight calf fit on the Rag & Bone Dre, and I said I liked Mother jeans.

They're skinny, but soft and stretchy. Try them.

Okey dokey! I will. Looks like I can go try them at Northgate, which is easy. (And I have some booties to return-- ha haha! Well, not really, yet. I'm going to wait and see how I feel about them if the leather ones don't materialize.)

What a great haul..and you look fabulous in these photos!

I'm going to try the Paige also.

Don't you like that both are nondistressed black? There is still so much darned distressing!! I do like the occasional jean with it, but for every single pair? No thank you!!

Thanks, cheryl!
I agree, Suz. I have some slightly faded black ones, and it would be nice to have sleek, dark ones.

Okay, folks--here are the Paige Hoxtons on me. I think they are the winners. They feel a lot more fab than the DL1961s, and I think they look better, too. The rise is higher, and the fabric is snappier. I lightened the photos quite a bit, and I know it's still hard to see, but I hope it helps to see them anyway.

Thanks, Angie for the suggestion!

I like the jeans. I read they run smaller than some of the others. Did you take your normal size? How do they feel - tight through your calf? Soft?

That Angie really knows what she's talking about

Yes, she does, doesn't she, delurked? I got the larger of the two sizes I usually take in jeans. Actually the smaller of my two sizes wasn't available to try, but these are just right. I tried on a size up from the larger of the two sizes I usually wear, and it was definitely too big. And because of the stretchy fabric, they don't feel too tight on my calves. They feel as comfy as my Mother jeans (high-waisted Looker style), which I love, love. The fabric is very soft, too. The DL1961 fabric was even softer, but I feel this fabric (or maybe it's the sizing of the jeans themselves) is more supportive, yet without being constricting in the least. I would wear these on a long plane ride, as I do with my Mother jeans.

Those Paige jeans are fantastic on you, wow! I also really like solid black, non-distressed jeans. I have a serious case of jean envy - I want all the pairs you got, but have zero reasons to get any, so I will enjoy them vicariously through you.

The Paige jeans are great. You did very well.

What a difference in the fit, the Paige look perfect on you!

YAY, Sharan! I thought you might prefer the Paige. They have been winners on everybody. Runs a size small - you're dead right. Killer on you. Thanks for following through. (I met your lovely sewing friend at the NAS last week, btw).

I love those black jeans on you! Sleek and dark.

Those are great, Sharan! Glad you got them.

Aww, Tanya, that's sweet. With your new position, you will really enjoy your opportunities to wear jeans in your time off now.
Angie, you were so right. And I hadn't even considered the Paige, since I wasn't really looking for black skinnies, though I do have a place for them.

Lisa, thank you. I wasn't sure the difference would shop up in the photos, but I can tell it, for sure.

Suz, I bet you'll like them, too, if you don't mind the stretchy denim.

Not a denim person but the paige jeans are great on you.

Love the look of the bag - hope it's not too heavy?
Love the Mother jeans, look custom made for you.
Hard to see the oxfords, but they seem refined and give off a nice shine.
I like the shirt...but I always like shirts
Paige jeans look flattering with boots. Not fond of the hem shape with sandals.

All this stuff looks amazing on you!

skylurker, thanks for your comments! I need to try putting my things in the bag and see how I like it. And I will admit I'm not quite sure what to do with that hem on the black jeans. It's something to play with and figure out.

Thanks, Jenava!
