I stumbled across this shirt at Nordies last night.

Full blown Rodarte is out of my budget, but this seemed cool. I've been eyeballing fashion sport jerseys on and off.

I have a sporty side that pops out occasionally. My sales associate suggested putting a white button down under it. I adore that idea. Maybe with a statement necklace.
Or do I seem like a wannabe Seahawks fan who didn't commit to an official jersey?

I wasn't sure at first (which is about me not knowing what's trendy, not about the shirt) but then the pins were sooooooooooo cute. I vote Yay!

I'm just not crazy about the big RODARTE on the front. I don't think anyone will think you're a Seahawks fan with that on, though, if you're worried about that.

i'm on the fence on this one. i think the pinterest outfits are cute, but i'm not really feeling this as a fashion statement. maybe because we are allowed to wear sports jersey's to work on friday's but they have to have a dress shirt underneath, and be worn with non jeans, and well, it looks forced.

Nay. Wannabe. Not up to your usual level of sophistication or sporty chic style. It reads way too juvenile and cutsie to me, because it's so literal and then when you add the "RODARTE." I'd say the same to my 24 year old daughter, too.

I'm not totally convinced either. Another non-fan of the "Rodarte" on the front, but I don't care for any of those big obvious branding logos on tees or anything else. I actually prefer the jerseys in the pins because they seem more like a creative co-opting of a guy's jersey (like borrowing his tee or jeans) and putting a twist on it. The designer version of the jersey seems a little too self-conscious to me. But that is just me! If you love it, I bet you could rock some looks with it. I like to dip my toe in the sporty waters too.

I find the Rodarte shown on the blog post plain ugly. The white T-shirt on the pin, though, is quite nice... I'm a yay, but for jerseys that are more T-Shirt-like (so... that have less color-contrast on the numbers, are just printed black numbers on white cotton).

Claudia has a point that it might read too juvenile, but again I would say that goes to the models that resemble a true jersey the most. I would say you can pull off the look on Pin 1 and be all sport chic elegance.

As far as logos, remember I have a Kenzo tiger head sweatshirt with Kenzo in big letters across the front that I wear a lot.

I really like the concept here… and especially love your first pin (pink jersey with tutu -- on the beach). I am less enchanted with the Rodarte jersey. It screams "commercial" to me. I do like the graphic white on black design… it's the big RODARTE that somehow makes it less appealing to me. And I am not generally against branding logos (love your Kenzo tiger top).

I like a lot of the other Rodarte logo tops, but I'm less in love with this one. I think it's because it's too literal and then you're relying on other people to get the irony. (If you want there to be irony - but that might not be important to you.)

And your sporty side definitely comes through in your outfits you post here, so I can definitely see how this shirt would fit your look.

I really liked this designer sports tee series, by comparison, but the tops themselves are much less interesting than the Rodarte one or the other sports jerseys in your pin.

Ew, I don't like it (sorry). It looks diva. If you are a true sports fan, wear your team's jersey! Not a big label. I do like the idea of dressing up a team jersey though.

I like the idea of a sports tee for you, but I'm not sure about this one due to the big logo. I do like the pinned looks and can see you wearing your own versions really well.

Intellectually I like it. And I really like the idea of a white button down under it. But I think I'd skip the Rodarte version and just go for an actual jersey at that point. Maybe a vintage one? or one of the original NFL teams (Cleveland Browns?). I'd pick the Oilers, but that's just because I grew up in Houston. Also, I do think it does kind of look like a Seahawks jersey from a distance, so you might get a few double-takes. A different colour scheme would probably work better in Seattle..

I took another look at this and here is my graphic-designer type-geek realization: I don't like the "Rodarte" typeface on a sports jersey. It's too serif-y and delicate. They should have gone with sportier or at least bolder type. Poor design IMHO. Just my 2 pennies. Your Kenzo is way cooler.

I love in the land of Green Bay packers. So, you know, here it would look bizarre that you are wearing a non-Packers jersey.

I think the biases me. A lot. Especially as I am not a football fan.

I know you have a Kenzo logo sweatshirt. I don't care for that one, either. Just my personal taste - I don't love schmancy sweatshirts or big names that aren't mine. (I did like the DKNY logo while I was in NY, but that's because my initials were DK and I lived in NY. It'd have to be DKATX now, I guess.) However, obviously, your mileage will vary.

I like the pins with the sports shirts, just not this sports shirt.

I agree with Greyscale. It's too literal. The logo does not bother me though. I feel like you either need the real thing or something more fashion-y.

That said, I really, really like the pin with the tulle skirt.

I think the sporty look is fun, but I feel if you are going to do it--I would just get one of the new style seahawks jerseys (they are a pretty good team anyway-and the jerseys are more interesting than the old ones by far) and wear it with some of your killer boots & jeans....Anna-ize it---

however, I do appreciate the irony of the designer sporty jersey.
