lyn - spray root coverage scares me! I don't think I'm adept enough to try it, although it is a great idea:) Thanks for the hair love - wish I could go back to this colour right now. Patience is not my best suit. It remains super, super cold here in MB, so the puffer is getting a full workout these days

Echoing torontogirl and glad your arm is recovering Dressing for the bitter cold is always challenging, and not fun, but it looks like you found great options!
The root spray wipes off easily, and blends in naturally with a little combing-though I don't trust it on rainy days!

Lisa - I totally missed this. Just wanted to chime in and say you look fantastic. Love the legging/sweater and new boots. Coat is totally fun. I know the major yuck factor gaining weight, I dont' feel well even a few pounds up, but you look fantastic. I would never know, you look great. I hope you are able to drop it easily though. I know how bad it feels even when it's only visable to you. I think you hair looks terrific also. But you need to be happy. Anyway just wanted to say I hope you are feeling a little better. You should only feel as good as you look.

Bumping again, as I only saw about your last year purchase of that "fairly expensive long black knit midi" which you NEVER WORE. And had a quick and sharp/!) deja vu. End of summer, when all this midi trend got available in my neck of the woods, too- my first purchase in the trend was exactly the same. Big fault!:-((
Mine was not that expensive(just H&M-nr 1-2) but a heavier rib knit, midi, black and very flatering A line cut with a certain good weight-so at least didn't look cheap-still-it stood in my closet for 3 weeks till returning, and I am so sooo happy Idid it.
Exchanged it for a black and cream striped pleated midi(nr 3)-which I love and wore to theatre in the holidays.
I also have a grey glenncheck pleated midi(4) which was doing fine for the office/and fall. And, recently bought a white and grey windowpanes pleated one for the spring/summer(nr 5) which I can't wait to wear with a simple black tee/top.
Turns out the fact that I have 2 black (both somehow textured and fairly fitted) knee length knitted pencils/tubes which I wore to death with black sheers and booties/patent loafers to work with all sorts of patterned tops and jacket/blazers/cardis- does not mean a black ribbed midi will serve me as well as those. It was end of summer when bought it (and looked good with my bare legs and slides when trying it at home:-)) but comes darker fall/winter mornings- it simply was all off- proportions? or too much of a heavier fabric? or too much deep black(?-but black is my essential neutral and love it!!) but this made me feel frumpy/dumpy, old and tired- no matter what top I tried to lighten it with. Tried column of color and contrasts, fitted or looser, nothing worked....
I LOVE black, but this time DID NOT work!:-).
