Two attempts with Friday's ensemble - please mix and match

I was taken with last Friday's ensemble and the many gorgeous interpretations posted this week so I thought I would give it a shot. I don't have a black moto, but I do have questions!

#1 thrifted striped top (Maya Negri), thrifted cropped jeans (m&s girlfriend cropped - I was amazed to find these), thrifted bomber sweater, second hand black boots (e'clat)

#2 thrifted striped top (A.P.C.), same jeans, second hand leather jacket (Reiss), thrifted red bag, H&M suede booties (!) bought on impulse while shopping for kids and turned out to be a surprise workhorse this winter - something about them works for me as walking shoes despite the (albeit small) heel.
Pearls are vintage Majorica gold tone triple strand

Questions: what do you think? Can I wear this color pearls (I bought them with the intention of selling but have neither wore nor sold yet)? What about the leather coat - I can see the sleeves need to go up but does it work here? Feel free to recombine and make suggestions for improvement- this is definitely an experiment!

I think the pearls are fab on you and I like them with both tops. Keep! I have a preference for the first outfit just because it involves fewer colours and therefore looks more cohesive to me (low affinity colour mixer here) but I definitely think you could wear the red bag with the first outfit or the black bomber with the second outfit. I am not sure about the fit of the leather jacket on you though. It looks a little big? It is a lovely jacket, I just prefer black with these outfits

The black jacket is a more conventional pairing but I love the unexpected pairing with the lavender jacket. Both work for sure. Love the pearls! You look so fresh and stylish!

I find the lavender jacket and shorter, less voluminous top works better with these jeans. The pearls are good!

Bothe renditions look really good to me Jaime! I think the pearls look good on your skin tone and those jeans are a great find.

I'd match the striped top in 1 with the moto in 2, because I like the v-neck better on you and I have issues with cardigans - the other striped top works, too, just my personal preference.

The colour of the pearls don't bother me in the picture, but the size does : bigger, more dramatic strands would look more modern, I think - I'm certainly no expert on modernity though.

Wow, what a slew of great thrift scores! I prefer the pearls on the second top. They sit a little odd w/ the vneck in #1. The lavender jacket looks a tad big?

Una, the jeans really surprised me - they aren't an expensive brand, but who would give up such trendy jeans already. Even weirder I found them with another pair of the exact same jeans one size down.

Diane thanks, I always saw myself as someone who looks best with white rather than off white, but either my coloring is changing or I am seeing things differently lately.
skylurker I think I would choose bigger pearls if I were intentionally shopping for them. These were more of an investment find that I thought I would give a test run. They are definitely classic rather than modern!

Wow, total score on the jeans!

I'm going to mix and match for you... I don't care for the tee in the second picture, the dark neck detail competes with the pearls, giving the outfit a "too busy" look, IMHO. I do like the jacket. Swap the shirts and you are golden!

I'm also not crazy about the topper in #1. From the waist up you have a "I just grabbed a hoodie and left" feel, although the jeans and booties are very modern looking. I guess this strikes me in particular, as a black and white striped tee and black hoodie are my total weekend FFBO when I'm just hanging out at home. So to me, it's more a comfort look than a stylish look, kwim? Totally fine, just not "super stylish Sveta". Which you are.

I love #2. That's a wonderful combination! I also like Isabelle's suggestion of using the V-neck stripe in #2.

#1 is a perfect , jeans are great on you and striped tops both. For #2 I agree with Brooklyn that jacket is too big, just change it and you are done.

Some more mix-and-match thoughts I would pair all of outfit #1 with the jacket in #2 AND look for some bigger, more dramatic pearls (while we're going big and dramatic!) for a funkier look. The bomber in #1 would be super with the tee in the second outfit tucked into the jeans. GREAT find on the jeans! Someone must have ordered final sale in two sizes and then decided the cropped look was not for them.

You look like you could take on the world (or twin daughters). I like the shirt best in 1 and love the jeans and shoes. Both outfits look very stylish to me.

Apart from the wonderful suggestions and flattering compliments, thank you for justifying my indecision about the second jacket. Looking at the pictures, I am thinking some sleeve surgery might help.

eta Thanks Karie - I think the coat will stay after some minor surgery. I am thinking of adding some colored beads next time!

Outfit #2 looks great as is, and I would pair the jeans and top in #1 with the jacket in #2. I'd call the jacket "the slightly oversized look" and not "too big." The pearls are lovely - you could try adding another strand for a chunkier look. The color of the jacket is fab, and I like it paired with the red purse.
