This tweed jacket so rarely comes out to play that I had banished it to the holding zone. Cue Angie's ensemble post, plus an evening out with friends that provided a rare opportunity for dressed-up casual.

I didn't have anything non-dressy in a colourway that suited the jacket, so I opted for a plain black fitted T and jeans. Planned on black jeans, but at the last minute substituted these dark blue bootcuts, cuffed to simulate crops. (That look still hasn't appeared in my neck of the woods, and where I wear jeans perhaps twice a month, I have more than enough pairs already.)

I wore this with white sneakers for errands and my walk earlier, then changed into ghillie flats for the evening.

Pic was taken at end of day and I didn't touch up my lipstick. Also hair is overdue for a cut. It's now long enough to put up, so I think I'll do a chignon to go with my Easter hat tomorrow.
