Well, I don't have a red sweater dress, and mine is very simple in style, but I was thrilled to find a mid length sweater dress, not bodycon, in one of my core colors (deep teal -- the photos and find don't do the heathered color justice).

I sized up to ensure an easy, drapey fit throughout. You'll note from the find that the fabric is stretchy and quite thin, but it is warmer than it looks. It's not scratchy, but it isn't super soft either. I wonder if the length might be more versatile if it were a couple of inches shorter. This sort of fabric (lots of stretch) can be tricky to hem without a serger.

I've worn my dress once --- to teach at home. I styled it with a simple hi/low cardi, but I wanted to keep it festive with garland and tinsel in the form of a bold necklace. My photos show me playing with options. I wore the first option, but I love the necklace I just purchased at WHBM (in photos 6 and 7). It will be featured in several of my Holiday outfits. Should I keep the necklace in 4/5? The layered necklaces in photo 8 are another option (I've been playing in my jewelry box).

For a party, I could pair it with pumps, tall riding boots, or mid-calf heeled booties (my first choice). Perhaps the teal would work with my red ponte blazer?
