Hi all,

A couple of years ago I jumped on the high rise bandwagon along with everyone else, and I still love the look. Because of my body type (essentially a rectangle) I have to size up one or often two sizes with a high rise style: I do not have a narrow waist, or any waist at all really. So I ended up with a few pairs of jeans like this because I love the look and wanted to try the trend.

Enter COVID, and I am up a few pounds - enough to make a real difference in the comfort level of these pants. I must internalize this mantra: short-waisted rectangles need to stay away from the high rise!

I also really hopped on the distressed and/or raw hem look, and both of these trends have created a problem for in-person work. I have my first work trip next month where I will be interviewing people in the construction trades. It will be VERY casual - jeans for sure. But nothing distressed or raw.

I have exactly one pair of jeans that fits the bill: comfortable and non-distressed. I have also ordered these from Citizens (Emerson cut, Long Weekend wash) - expensive, but I know they will fit.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this struggle? And has anyone found any great jeans (or pants) in midrise, non distressed, that aren't boring?
