Thanks for the excitement about bringing my pearls back into my outfits. It was quite the surprise to read the cheerleading in the comments section this morning!

True to my word, THE PEARLS ARE ON. I chose my favourite short chunky strand that Greg bought for me in NY at our first NYFW. And I'm wearing this outfit today - working at home first and heading out later. The pearls FEEL FAB.

I am a big pearl fan too. Have vintage, and after all the comments about the love of pearls on here, I find myself looking to add to my collection and wear then a lot. Only thing I need is some ideas of wearing my 3 strand chocker one. They bring back memories too, as my mom, sister and I wore them to church, weddings and such. From what I am seeing, wearing them with everything, including jeans, is OK.

I love my pearls and they have been languishing. Seeing your pretty pops of creamy white reminds me I'm on Team Pearls and I must wear them. I still watch your video when I need a refresher with the long-stranded pearl necklace.

How can I take my pearls and everything else and make them modern but gritty but not be at odds with all the Arts and Crafts architecture around me? Nice! I love these chunkier, shorter pearls - what a gorgeous clasp on them too. I'm so glad we're into this pearl thing at the same time For many years at Christmas , my mother gave me (in other words, allowed me to pick out ) a piece of jewellery from hilary druxman's collection . This past Christmas, I bought myself these two pieces in her memory . Both are cultured fresh-water pearls, the ring set in 14 k gold and the necklace with a sterling silver closure. I now have this mini pearl collection I am so happy to own - and I look forward to see how you wear yours for some extra style inspiration

Love your pearls, Angie! I have classic pearls but my favorite pearl necklace is a 16 inch, 12-13 mm or so strand with a silver toggle clasp. The pearls are kind of dressy but the clasp dresses it down, I think. Sometimes I'll put on a dark top and when I add the short pearls it's just the right amount of "light" to make the outfit.

Love, love, love pearls!! You look wonderful in them, truly you make each other glow. Looks like a gorgeous outfit for them. Pearls are my favorite good jewelry (okay apart from diamonds, or better yet together). Always appropriate, lovely, elegant and so flattering how they throw light onto the face. yes, sometimes you need to take a break, but something you'll always come back to!! So glad you have!

yay! I'm also relatively minimalist with jewelry/accessories but I make an exception for necklaces. I think pearls and other chunky necklaces play so well with winter sweaters and winter clothing in general. I also brought a pearl necklace from my parents' house back with me this break and will wear it soon.
