(ahem, say I wearing a black button down with white pearls and white jeans).

Could you refrain from wearing anything black for a work week? I could do it but would feel severely style limited and not very fab. In Spring and Summer, I love to pair black tops with white bottoms.

Remember that if you say yes, I am holding you to the challenge.

Hmmm. I'm not in the "all black" rut, but I do often have a little black somewhere. Not sure I could get through a week without a single black piece!

Are shoes included? What about handbags and belts?

Louise, I thought of you, AJ and Khris as the lasses who could probably manage the challenge quite effortlessly.

April, no black items at all. No black shoes, accessories, leggings or underwear. (You'd be allowed to workout in black gear though).

Nope, I know I couldn't manage. No black purse? No problem (since I don't even have one). No black shoes? Well, it might be tough, but in the summer it'd be doable, since I have white flats, white sandals and turquoise sandals. No black all? No way.

I definitely could. I guess I can put off wearing my new black and white skirt for a little bit. Trying on outfits doesn't count, right?

I often default to black. I have a lot of black clothes but I'm not sure why because I do love color.

Coming back to the topic. I don't think I've ever gone a week without black (TMI - even most of my underwear is black since I bought a few packs of Olga undies at Sam's a while ago). But, I could do with a challenge with fair terms and that I actually enjoy for a change. So you're on! I would very much like to try to go a whole week without a single shred of black (except my hair).

I actually need the opposite challenge - wearing something black everyday. I almost never wear black, especially during the spring and summer months.

Nope, not a chance! I feel most confident in black. And even if I'm not wearing black as one of the main players in my outfit, I always have a black cami on underneath!

Totally. There are long stretches where I go with zero black in my outfits. Though sometimes it comes up in shoes. Do shoes count? If so I an also forgo black shoes with minimal effort - that's what my red shoe collection is for

I don't work outside the home : though I am the family CEO/CFO/COO : ) I am going to try. Does that mean not even my black watch or oxidized silver ( which looks kinda black ) ? What about the dark circles under my eyes ?

This would be a challenge for me because it is "that" time of the month and I usually wear black to go along with my darker mood. LOL! So I will be interested to see if I am happier by wearing brighter/lighter colors.

Oh I could almost do it and almost did this week. The only black I wore was a T-shirt which I changed in to after work to go and have coffee with some friends. I also had a speck of black on today. I wore dove grey pants, blush colored top, grey cardie and grey and black shoes.

Hell no! Full stop. Absolutely not gonna happen. I could handle a challeng banning black from some aspect of my outfit (no bottoms, for instance), but banning the colour outright is a non-starter.

So we have Khris, Louise, Kim, Rae, AJ, Sihaya, ladyjane, LE, Isabel, Vanie and Rosie. You start Monday! 5 outfits - one for each day of the week. No black what so ever.

And high five to the rest who feel like me about feeling naked without a bit of black through out a week - AS LONG AS WE DON"T BLACK RUT.
