These are the Free People crops. LOVE them. Not being a crop-top type of gal, nor one to tuck stuff in, I feel quite comfortable with a longer top over this length of pant. I took a picture , very awkward I know, to show where the waistband sits on me, and to have a look at a different proportion. The long top may not be the ultimate in figure flattery, but I hope it's JFE. And , with some trepidation, here is pair of wedges I just picked up. I feel like Jennifer Aniston - always with the wedge. Anyways - super comfortable and gives me the height I like. Grey sandals are that HEWI for me and I was pretty happy to find these. So - I'm really interested in this whole proportion issue. Fire away with your thoughts as I am really intrigued with how to wear these jeans . Thanks all

I'm clueless on the proportion issue so I'm not going to weigh in on that. I just think the look is super cute (if cute is okay to say!). I mean happy, casual, relaxed and fun.

The footwear makes the look along with the shorter cropped length. High heeled, high vamped and low contrast. Just flattering enough and a hundred thumbs up. (I will tuck my top - because I'm a tucker and I love the long leg line from the hips up).

Your hair looks stunning too.

vivian - my hair got too short over the last few months and I'm trying to let it fill out and get more length and softness on top. Longer bang too. Nothing drastic, just more hair I have to watch that severe look I can get as I get older - it does me no favours.

And I really like your sandals. Gray sandals- and shoes that aren't suede- are always tough to find. Just like navy. Why is that?

Just my two cents...you look fantastic! I was looking to see if you are petite like me...As Angie mentioned too, if I wear a longer top, I give myself some more length to pull off the look with some heel height. You look like you know what you are doing!! I love everything you are wearing. I like flared pants no matter the length....and your shoes are the cutest ever....soooooo neat.....love them....they look comfy too. Thank you for sharing!

Melissa - thank you! Not really petite, but I don't look tall either. How tall are you? I'm 5'5''. I have longish legs though so maybe that's my saving grace. I never know what the heck is going on with proportions - it's all intuitive to me. If it looks weird, I usually can recognize it on myself.

I was having a hard time adjusting to the look of flared crops...most of the examples Angie posted just looked super odd to me (tbh)...but on you they look amazing! I love how you styled and those wedges are gorgeous! Very flattering to my eye!

Holy cow you guys! You are the best ! Really they are just jeans- in fact these are the easiest pair I've ever owned. I went back to The Bay (Jackie, I know , right?) and they didn't have them in any other washes or colours. Here is proof positive that a trend can work on an absolutely average body - i.e. mine. I am totally middle of the road in height and size - and here you go.
