It was an unseasonably warm day today for lunch with my mum. I’ve already put my sandals away for winter and I don’t feel like wearing them anymore anyway. I wanted to wear boots!
I decided to go with a wrap skirt I’ve had for years (a fair trade buy from Thailand). It is a silk brocade. I think with a silk top it reads quite formal. But I dressed it down with combat boots, a knit top and a backpack.
I’m trying to be more deliberate about texture. So, besides the textured knit, I wore a textured belt (asymmetrically) and textured bracelets.
The jacket in pic 3 is just for show. I didn’t need it in the end.
I think many people (including my mum!) would say that the boots spoil this outfit, but for me they made it both interesting and practical. I walked 6 km!
