Gorgeous outfit, and yes the boots add a lot! I am happy to be on your team - juxtaposition is probably my most used style tool.

Thanks Jaime!

Thanks Angie. The longer length is making the frizz more manageable. I’m going copper again this winter, so I’m looking forward to that.

I LOVE this! You look stunning, the textural items are beautiful and so complimentary. It is a massive yes from me for wearing footwear that can comfortably walk 6kms in. I always like the idea that I could walk great distances at any time and don't like being constrained by heels either.

Thanks Bijou. I must admit I felt quite pleased with the outfit as I strode home. Walking freely = happiness.

The boots work to my eye since they and the skirt are brown. I don't think I'd like it as much with heavy black boots. Love the bracelet especially!

I'm more likely to dress up my more casual outfits with dressier footwear than the reverse. But I do pair my gold Birks with a lot!

Looking great Brooklyn - lovely colours and textures that add so much to the outfit.

I agree - being able to walk comfortably and safely in "normal" clothes is important. I am clinging on to some heels - but I am not wearing them much at all.......and my eyes have adjusted.

Sounds like your Mum is in good spirits!

What a fab outfit! I love your style. I absolutely love juxtaposition...feels a bit rebellious. I wish I could wear more texture, but I typically find it more in tops, and as an IT I go for very lightweight smooth textures up top.

Brooklyn, this denim jacket made me think of you:

Thanks Angie. That colour and the patina could work for me. I will keep an eye out for it if it pops up here. Love Allsaints.

Thanks Dana!

Thanks Sal. Yes, my mum is in good spirits!

Thanks ST. I agree, lots of different ways to dress down a dressy outfit (or dress up a casual one).
