I saw this post and thought, "Of course!" and "If only I had the right pieces...", since I love both sweatshirts and pencil skirts--and dressy mixed with casual. But I've had trouble finding sweatshirts I like. I've just never been in the habit of buying fashionable graphic tees and sweatshirts. Maybe the Jesuit High School sweatshirt my stepson got me? Too casual? And there's that big plain black Lululemon sweatshirt that would be way too drab and would need a really flashy skirt--and inspiration struck, and I ran to my closet.
The sweatshirt is intentionally huge on top, with a very generous front pocket to stuff your hands into, and a bulky hood, but it has a very wide snug welt. (The second photo is to show the welt, and to show the leopard print since the lighting is poor.)
