Summer has arrived in autumn this year

Well no doubt everyone has a tale to tell of strange weather this year and l am mindful that the weather in the UK by global standards is still pretty benign however it has been weird here this year.We had no spring and literally overnight went from jumpers end of May to full blown summer in June.This turned back into winter for July,jumpers,lights on at three in the afternoon and some one l know even put on her heating
On. August wasn’t a great deal better but now as we move into Autumn we are having the hottest September on record and it’s officially a heatwave here in Wales.
So l pulled out my high summer clothes that l had put away and put them back on again!
Just for fun and because l haven’t posted in a while here’s my heatwave week.Nothing special but keeping it real with my outfits.

day1- visiting an open garden .-Marks and spencer linen top,made by me culottes
day2-body boarding.l think that you can tell by my grin that l am naturally aquatic!
day3-going out for an ice cream(fig and marscapone,very nice!)-.Fat face dress,Seasalt hat,Caroline Herrera sunnies
day 4-(photos 5,6,7)going out for cocktails and tapas.-Zara trousers,part of a two piece,and a Zara linen top,Arket bag,timberland sandals(second hand shop)
day5 -spending the evening at the beach having fish and chips whilst the sun goes down.Next trousers,Marks and spencer linen top,plimsolls
day 6 -just a local stroll along a river bank keeping to the shade!-Banana republic shirt,Seasalt hat,made by me shorts,timberland sandals.

Oh! YLF! It’s great to see your outfits. I especially love the blue dress, perfect for a garden party feel. I suppose my sister in Oxford is dressing for the heat as well.

Wow,.so beautiful summer outfits! I especially like #1 and #4. Your culottes are perfect, Bravo!. The blue dress is fantastic on you. I'm glad you have summer in September, the same is here. And I want fish and chips too.

What a summer you've had! Or not had, except in June and September. The weather patterns are indeed strange. But your outfits are all spectacular on you. I love your Seasalt dress, the made-by-you culottes (clever you!) and the Zara outfit. The food all looks spectacular, too! Glad you've had a bit of sunshine to make up for the cool July and August.

Oh, how lovely you look! I can’t pick a favorite! Just wish I looked half as good in hats!
we had a heat waive this last week! Some hottest days of the summer happened in September.

All such cute hot weather looks, love all the various patterns and summery colours too. We just completed a 4day heat wave here in Quebec and things are at least returning to more seasonable temps. All kinds of clothing have been on the go with the crazy weather this summer.

You look very put together. What's your secret? Ironing? Special storage?

I bet "hot" in UK is about 70 degrees fahrenheit, which is chilly in LA. That's when we would pull out the Uggs and sweaters.

Carol,thank you.l do iron my clothes!It’s been 30/32 degrees centigrade here l don’t know what that is in Fahrenheit .

Your weather sounds familiar to what I have experienced in Norway and Denmark these last months. We have enjoyed the summer warmth in beginning of September, but this weekend it has started to cool down.

Your summer outfits look gorgeous. My favourites are 3/4 and 5.

Such happy summer outfits and scenes! I love the blue dress and especially the outfit in #5 — the pants remind me of some I got from Zara this year that I’ve been on and off the brink of fitting into (they were good before we went to Europe, but that trip undid some of my weight loss, LOL). Maybe they’ll be more useful next summer.

This has been a weird summer. There was a pleasant stretch when we got home from Europe last month, but now September has decided to curse us with hot summer weather so far. Today it’s cooled off a bit but it’s still very humid after storms came through. I’m over it! I want to put my summer stuff away and not see it until next May.

The cat ,thank you,interesting to know what the weathers been doing your neck of the woods.We usually only hear about the southern med but l suppose that’s because a lot if British people go on holiday there.

It's wonderful to get a glimpse of your summer style in such lovely landscapes. (our tapas literally made my stomach growl.)You wear soft prints and colors SO well---these photos look like they could be paintings--especially under the green canopy in the last photo. It's lovely to see you - in such breezy colours & prints, no less! The curve of that Zara linen top is interesting - almost like an overlapping scarf (very cooling, I bet!)

Haha I visited the UK in July this year, & will admit that the weather we got (sudden torrential downpour out of nowhere 2 hours after I arrived) was exactly the type of weather I was expecting *last* year (when I happened to come in the middle of the heatwave). I had even bought boots & a raincoat with me!

It looks like the UK & HK have now swapped weather - we're dealing with heavy floods after the typhoons here (but still humid). Anyway, look at me banging on about the weather! You know what they say, you can take the girl out of Blighty but...
