Thank you all for your feedback. I appreciate you took the time to express your opinion.
The blush jeans in # 4 -6 are not flattering on my short waist, I agree. They've only survived the cull so far because they're amazingly comfortable.
I wish I'd duplicated the diagonal striped shirt, I love the design and the lightweight cotton is great quality *sigh*
Pink is the only colour I wear (blue is a neutral for me).
@ Aquamarine : I share your opinion about the dullness of #4, I should avoid light coloured bottoms in the future, however good they look on YLF ladies. I feel much better in dark bottoms - light top combo and I'm esp. enamoured of black&white contrast at the moment.
@ Xtabay : excellent, aucune faute ! C'est la croix et la bannière (expression bizarre pour dire : c'est difficile) de trouver des chaussures d'été aérées mais fermées et confortables.
@ L'abeille : pas de manches courtes, non. I don't like how they look on my scrawny arms, I'd rather wear long sleeves scrunched up. These are mild summer looks, when it's above 30°C, I wear dresses.
@ Greenjeans : thanks. #5 is the only outfit that feels dressy enough for work, the other I've only worn on weekends.
@ merwoman : being short-waisted, I used to half-tuck or blouse tops a lot when waistlines were lower. With the higher waists, it doesn't work.
I know the high waists are not flattering on me, but they're so comfortable in that carrot shape #3-5, that I've become a convert anyway.
@ Joyce B, The Cat : thanks for your suggestions, why do I never think of accessories ? I can see on others how they can elevate a look but I don't know how to use them on myself.
